• multiple response and assertion/reason questions removed

Re-accreditation for PRINCE2 2017

• PRINCE2 updates never invalidate previously earned certificates

• Current PRINCE2 2009 expiration dates are unchanged

• New expiration date is 3 years after qualification

• Reaccreditation is via AXELOS CPD programme

or resitting the full Practitioner exam

• AXELOS CDP programme requires PRINCE2

Membership and award of a digital badge

(currently free for the first year, then £50 + VAT

per annum) and 20 CPD points each year

• AXELOS CPD programme membership includes useful resources

• CPD points can be for training courses, self study, blog writing, attending events, etc.

What does all this mean to a PRINCE2 organisation?

• There is no need for re-accreditation (but an update for existing project managers may be useful)

• Existing documentation may need to be updated to reflect PRINCE2 2017 (but these are not major)

• P3Os may need to update their project information and templates to PRINCE2 2017 (but this can be done when a new project starts

• Agile projects operating under PRINCE2 have more guidance on how to interact

• There may be some period of parallel running with each version, but they can certainly co-exist in an organisation

• We are now providing new courses in PRINCE2 2017

• There will be short PRINCE2 2017 in-house changeover courses available

• MetaPM will be updating all of its training and consulting material to reflect PRINCE2 2017

• Our new PRINCE2 2017 course has significantly increased student participation

• Our training course CDPs will reflect AXELOS PRINCE2 Membership
