New COVID CasesOur highest peak to date was the week of 4/26 – 5/2 with 2,438 cases, which was followed by 9 weeks of decreasing cases. However, we have seen a 56% increase over the last two weeks from our recent low of 581 cases in the beginning of July.

COVID-Related DeathsFor the week ending July 18 there were 10 total deaths with an average of 1.4 deaths per day, a decrease from the previous week of 2.0. Deaths per week have decreased by 88% from our high of 80 deaths per week in April.

Ages 50-69 have the highest number of hospitalizations for county residents, but the age-specific rates increase in alignment with the age group, with those aged 80 and over having the highest hospitalization rate.

•All staff and students are required to be tested and submit documentation 12 days prior to participating in any university activity.

• Residential students will receive a (required) free test during move in activities (August 17th – 24th)

• Non residential students will receive free testing on August 18th, 24th and 25th.

•Additional testing for COVID-19 will begin at move-in and continue every 2 weeks for special populations.

•Daily, all faculty, staff and students will take a 2 minute survey online or through an app. The symptom monitoring provides a daily snapshot and ability to respond rapidly to any person who reports systems.

• Added 126 apartments at the Enclave • Offered all upper-class students a housing assignment • Single bedroom occupancy for all residents

•Enhanced cleaning

• Common areas cleaned 1 daily = 3 times daily• Adding hand sanitizers on hallways through out all facilities
