Saint-Benoist de l’Europe primary school opts for Cloud-based security with Kaspersky Lab.

Saint-Benoist de l’Europe protects its 27 computers with Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud.

Saint-Benoist de l’Europe School, based in Bagnolet, France, has 350 pupils. Students are divided across 13 different classes, which range from preschool to CM2 (approximately equivalent to US grade 4), as well as a class for pupils with special educational needs. The educational establishment currently has 27 networked computers that can be accessed by teaching staff, pupils and the school management. Thanks to the Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud solution, this IT architecture is now protected.

Challenge Up until 2015, Saint-Benoist de l’Europe School did not have any serious infrastructure or IT security management in place. Moreover, none of its staff members had been offered training in IT best practices, such as not connecting USB sticks from unreliable or unverified sources. This situation meant that there were frequent network failures, and a spyware program was even detected on the Principal’s desktop. Faced with this situation, and on the advice of the president of the OGEC [the Catholic Education Management Organization] which oversees the operation of the school, the institution approached IT service provider, Weodeo. The situation was fully analyzed, and the service provider recommended a Kaspersky Lab solution.
