Assessment• There are three formally assessed pieces of academic
work on this programme:– A 3,000 word critique on Behaviour for Learning– A poster presentation, showing the findings of an in-depth
case study research project– A presentation on how you have impacted on teaching and
learning through your curriculum enhancement
• Demonstration that you have met the Teachers’ Standards in two school settings (DfE)

Selection process – application (GTTR)
• Grade C or above in English, mathematics and science
• Undergraduate degree (classification – 2:1 or above)
• Experience of working in primary schools in the UK context
• Communication skills • Literacy and numeracy skills tests (see DfE)
Selection process – the interview• Recommendation from school• Documents checks • An introduction to the Primary PGCert• A written exercise and subject knowledge audit for
mathematics• A short presentation about your experience of
working in primary schools• A group interview involving a discussion about issues
in primary education with members of the Primary Partnership.
