During a speech in Denver, Colorado, President Obama remarked that his gun control agenda was constrained by the system our founders put inplace, as he lambasted Second Amendment advocates who argue that gun ownership is a means of protection against government tyranny.

Opponents of some of these common-sense laws have ginned up fears among responsible gun owners that have nothing to do withwhats being proposed and nothing to do with the facts, but feeds into this suspicion about government, said Obama.

You hear some of these quotes: I need a gun to protect myself from the government. We cant do background checks because thegovernment is going to come take my guns away.

Well, the government is us. These officials are elected by you. They are elected by you. I am elected by you. I am constrained, as theyare constrained, by a system that our Founders put in place. Its a government of and by and for the people.

At first glance, Obamas admission that his actions are constrained by the authors of the Constitution is a seemingly glib nod to safeguards ensuredthe bill of rights and the Second Amendment. However, when placed in a more sinister context, the quote could also be interpreted as a complaint ta President who in January introduced 23 executive orders to address gun violence reduction should be given an even greater free reign to take a out of gun rights.

Recall that back in July 2011 during a speech on immigration, Obama lamented that, doing things on my own (becoming a dictator) was verytempting.

Obama also remarked, I am not a dictator during the sequester debate in early March.

As Infowars has documented, Obama has flagrantly violated the Constitution in all manner of different ways, from undermining the power ofCongress (an act of high treason according to Congressman Walter Jones) by insisting his authority came from the United Nations Security Counciprior to the attack on Libya and that Congressional approval was not necessary, to accepting rotating status as chairman of the United Nations SecuCouncil, which is a direct violation of article 1, section 9, clause 8 of the Constitution.

During his speech yesterday, Obama also stated, There doesnt have to be a conflict between protecting our citizens and protecting our SecondAmendment rights.

Obamas insistence that his gun control agenda does not infringe on the Second Amendment is not a view shared by over a dozen Colorado Sheriffwho held a press conference to coincide with the Presidents visit to the state earlier this week.

One of those Sheriffs, Elbert Countys Shayne Heap, subsequently released a YouTube video in which he slammed Obama for using fear to explrecent tragedies in pursuit of curtailing the right to bear arms.

Heap accused Obama of working to, legislatively carpet bomb law-abiding citizens with excessive restrictions, by introducing gun controlregulations that punish lawful citizens while failing to address the wider issue of violence in American society.

Newly passed laws in Colorado prohibit the sale of magazines which hold more than 15 bullets, in addition to mandating background checks for alprivate gun sales.

There is no doubt that Obama would like to ultimately ban all private ownership of weapons. Its a dream that the Marxists and other leftsistthis country have had for over a hundred years. However, like all utopians, Obama has misread the American public and overreached.

He will be unaccountabe because he is a lame duck president, but his party will get the fallout of this in the 14 elections.I am happy to see the majority of Americans see this unmitigated grab for power at the expense of the Second amendment for what it it and apressuring their representatives.

If the facts were not available, ten years ago, I could almobe duped into his agreeable, empathy-inducing speaking style. It appears that he is trying to convince the citizens viewing this, whom justrecently recognized the unfolding tyranny, that the government actually, are only the good ol local cops behind me. There is a legal term that makes what he wants to do illegal it is shall, shall not be infringed meaning under no circumstances can this bechanged. Also why dont we ban cars from ownership or do the some 15 or so thousand children dont count? Want to ban guns because 20 kdied What about 15000 children a year who die in car related crashes? The biggest joke are gun free zones, lets just publicize the areas weyou can do the most damage and not worry about a teacher or guard having a gun. But the armed man cant shoot up the school because its agun free zone. What a joke if you think that is true.
