Why Eye protection is important in life?

Eye is one of a major part of our life also we can say it plays a vital role in our daily routine we cannot do our work without seeing an object. For any Work we need to have eye. If you working in industries and suppose you not take a proper care of your body That may cause a major accident and in that you may lost your life also

Thus, I can say while working please wear proper PPE so that may can save your life

Even we can say that eye injuries is common injuries at work place. Let’s take a survey of NIOSH (The National institute for occupational safety and health) it’s says about 2,000 us workers applied for a medical insurance for eye related injuries at work place. And safety doctors observed that most of people injured by their Right Eye while working.

The observation says that simply using a proper safety equipment’s for eye saved a thousand of accidents per year. Common eye injuries are occurring at work by chemical object or an eye cuts scrapes on the cornea. Other causes injuries include Chemical splash Burns or steam.

What is the reason for worker have eye injuries at work?

1) Because they were not wearing eye protection

2) Wearing wrong kind of PPE at work place

A major survey says that the person who suffers from eye injuries among five three were not wearing proper safety eye protection on job at the time of accident.

OSHA requires the use of eye and face protection equipment wherever there is a possibilities of accidents. You can wear such PPE like Goggles, Face shield, safety Glasses or full face respirator mask.

How can I prevent eye accident at workplace???

3) Keep your eye protection goggles at proper safe place please replace before it get damaged.

Non-prescription and prescription safety glasses — Safety glasses are designed as a normal glasses but their main work is to provide safety of eye. They have more tough lenses and frame according to normal eye wear. But for Named as a safety eye wear it must meet the ANSI safety standards. Safety glasses provide a protection against Dust, chemical, objects.

Goggles — Goggles provides a protection against dust, and chemical hazards Similarly Like safety glasses, they are highly resistant. In addition, it can cover a full eye so you can prevent your eye from any objects coming from any side.

Face shields and helmets — Full face shield ate used against prevention of chemicals, heat or heat coming from an object. While the Helmets are used in working site like building site. And it also use for a working at construction site we know it cannot have direct connection with safety eye wear but you can attached a face shield with goggles and face shield can be attached to a helmet. Wearing safety glasses or goggles under face shields also provides protection when the shield is lifted.

In the end I can sum up with saying that if you take care of you while working by using a proper Safety equipment’s the ratio of accidents gets low automatically.
