Prestonpans Infant School Newsletter
April 2012
That was the view of every
P3 child at Innerwick Centre.
“We don’t want to go back.
This is way better than
school.” Parents’ fears
vanished when they saw the
excitement on the children’s
faces as they tumbled out of
school to share their experiences. So P2 parents and carers,
don’t you worry about Innerwick. Just speak to a P3 family and
they’ll reassure you. We’re already booking up for next March
2012 for our P3s.
To share this joy, we’d like to invite P2 and P3 parents and carers
to Assembly on Friday 4 May at 9am. We’ve asked P3s to tell us
about In- nerwick and to show us some
of their pho-
tos. It’ll be
great to see.
On Wednesday 25th April, the Parent Council are holding a Sports
Event for P1-3, a class at a time. Lots of fun and exciting activi-
ties are planned. Each child will receive a prize for competing.
Apart from the School Fair, this is our last fundraising event of
the year. Families are asked to make a donation on Wed 25
April for this event. However, this is not com-
pulsory. All children will
It was great to see
so many parents and
carers along to the
P2 Pirate Afternoon
to enjoy seeing and
hearing about what
the children had
learnt.
So many families came along
to the P1 Dinosaur Museum to
see the amazing range of
fossils, models, paintings and
writings showing all that our
P1s have been learning about
dinosaurs. Thank you all for
coming and well done to P1s
and their helpers for setting
up the exhibitions and for
guarding and showing our
families and visitors around the museum. £80 was raised from
your donations and we are using this money to send our friends
Brenda and Barri to school in their own countries. Thank you.
If you’ve read the programmes, you will see
that on Thursday 7 June, P3s will perform
BORN FRAE THE SEA in the school as part of
the 3 Harbours Festival. We’re proud and ex-
cited to be in the programme and performing
this year. You can get programmes from The
Goth.
