Under the directions issued by Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation as well as Ministry of

Railways, EC Rly observed Swacchhta Pakhwada from 16th to 31st August 2017 with the concentrated efforts

of all the divisions, involving all the departments & each level of officer, supervisor & staff. All the aspects of

cleanliness and related awareness were covered during the fortnight to make this drive achieve its ultimate

objective.

We also reached nearby schools to educate our generation next about maintaining cleanliness &

its benefits. Painting, Quiz & Essay competitions were also organized on the subject including various

school children. Topics given were as –‘ Bharat Ko Swachh Rakhne Me Yuwao ki Bhumika”, “Swachh

Bharat Swasth Bharat.

Interacting & involving - Generation Next.

Special effort have also been taken through bulk SMS and Jingles on Radio channels, News paper

advertisements, running special videos related to cleanliness at stations, cut model display of Bio –toilets,

station announcement for Do’s & Don’ts for Bio-toilet prepared locally etc.
