EVOLUTIONS OF THE FASHION INFORMATION

A NEW SHARED DIGITAL COLOUR RANGE

Of all the fashion information tools created each season by the fashion teams of the Première Vision shows, the colour ranges are among the most emblematic.

As of September, in the spirit of the multiple and intersecting activities of the 6 shows, and to adapt its tools to the needs of global fashion players, the fabric (Première Vision Fabrics) and accessory (Première Vision Accessories) colour ranges are featuring new changes.

Physically, first of all, the Première Vision Fabrics colour range is now made of fabric rather than paper. But beyond the higher-quality material, its real evolution lies in its digitization. In addition to the poster and fabric colour card, a new digital tool (supplied via USB stick and downloadable to colour lab and creative software) has been developed, forging a direct link between creative and industrial teams.

A tool combining efficiency and creativity it now allows industry brands, designers and manufacturers to render drawings into prints, jacquards, colour-wovens, plains, harmonies and silhouettes for autumn winter 2016-17 with total colour accuracy and an increased speed of execution and quality.

This new colour range also plays on cross-industry synergies, and is now shared by both Première Vision Fabrics and Première Vision Accessories. Now, a single colour range includes both fabrics and accessories information, in the aim of facilitating interaction between the various activity sectors.Fashion teams from the two shows worked together to propose colour choices for accessories and colour directions stemming from the Première Vision Fabrics range, in line with the seasonal theme of Première Vision Accessories.

EVOLUTIONS OF THE FASHION INFORMATION

TRANS-SECTORAL FASHION INFORMATION AREAS:

Starting this September, not only the fashion information tools but forums too will emphasise how products at the shows complement each other.

Style Focus : Première Vision Fabrics & Première Vision Accessories

In September, the Style Focus forum, dedicated to the fashion and style offer, will feature both accessories and fabrics, for style recipes and fashion silhouettes intended for the women’s, men’s and casualwear markets.Located in the heart of Première Vision Fabrics (Hall 5), this cross-disciplinary forum is a collaborative effort between the teams at Première Vision Accessories and Première Vision Fabrics..

Shoe Focus : Première Vision Accessories and Première Vision Leather

Première Vision is launching a new space in September, one entirely dedicated to technical components for shoes, at Première Vision Accessories.

Located in the north of Hall 4, the space links the specific offer of technical components for footwear at Première Vision Accessories (heels, welts, soles..) and that of Première Vision Leather (leather, textiles for accessories...)At the heart of this new space, a new cutting-edge fashion information area - the Shoe Focus forum - was developed in line with the overall theme of the season, and was jointly created by the fashion teams from both shows.

In complement to Première Vision Leather, this cross-disciplinary fashion information forum showcases technical elements and components, ornaments and both leather and fashion material preferences for footwear, lending an exclusive and pertinent outlook to seasonal trends and footwear manufacturing secrets for autumn winter 2016-17.

AUTUMN WINTER 2016-17 SEASON

PREMIÈRE VISION PARIS: AN AUTUMN WINTER 2016-17 SEASON MARKED BY AN AMAZING, SENSORY REALITY

For the first time in September, in addition to the seasonal information and inspirations for each activity sector featured at the Première Vision Paris shows, the Première Vision fashion team is also proposing general inspirations, directions and choices - shared fashion information cutting across all the autumn winter 2016-17 shows.

Autumn winter 2016-17 embellishes the present and adorns the body with fabrics, decoration, aspects and new functions. It’s a season where we will delight in manipulating a reality that doesn’t fully satisfy us right now. Transformed, this reality surpasses the normal. It’s about making reality amazing, dazzling with colourful depth.

Autumn Winter 2016-17 looks set for significant changes, where the trio of nature, technology and light comes together to create almost essential synergies between the Première Vision business specialties.

The season will lead to soft and innovative transformations at Première Vision Yarns– the yarns and fibres show that already introduces the first glimpses of spring summer 17. It will delight in the sensitive, extraordinary connections at Première Vision Fabrics. It will wonder and be dazzled at the transformation of materials at Première Vision Leather. It will let us wittily and skilfully glue and put together graphics at Première Vision Designs, to rebound with generous energy and play on scale at Première Vision Accessories.

â The heart of the season, all the latest updates and analyses and exhibitors’ new products and developments can all be discovered in the attached documents created by the fashion team, in the Fashion Live section of the website www.premierevision.com, and at each of the forums at the September show.

AUTUMN WINTER 2016-17 SEASON

PREMIÈRE VISION FABRICS :A VISIONARY, SENSITIVE AND STRONG-MINDED AUTUMN WINTER 2016-17 SEASON

The clothing fabrics show presents a season in three themes - visionary, sensitive and strong-minded - marked by adventure and the future, the sensory and the sensual, fully assumed and advocating a passionate rigour in the creativity and design of collection.

At Première Vision Fabrics, the autumn winter 1617 season gives voice to creative forces. It carries a strong-minded aesthetic message, and brings multiple cultures and genres face to face. Leaving nostalgia behind, without fantasizing over a too-distant future, it draws on the present to create beauty, offer something new, and go beyond the expected.

Reality isn’t enough? Let’s transform it to make it more extraordinary, plug it into our imaginations, have a laugh with it, augment it to sketch out future fashions. Let’s give it a ‘material’ dimension, to wear it right on our bodies!

KNITWEAR SOLUTIONS :TRESS IT UP !

For autumn winter 2016-17, creative flatbed knits are inspired by hairdos, inviting us to envision clothing as elaborately styled tresses.

Forms and stitch-plays are figured like braids. They evoke curls and locks of hair - from well-coiffed to totally tangled.

AUTUMN WINTER 2016-17 SEASON

PREMIÈRE VISION LEATHER : BE DAZZLED !A DAZZLING AND SUPRISING AUTUMN WINTER 2016-17 SEASON

Be Dazzled. In the world of leathers and furs, this is the concept chosen to embody autumn winter 2016-17, conjuring up the wonder, surprise and magic of light. The season is built around a strange complicity between Nature, our muse, and Technology, her canvas. A complicity expressed this season in five stories, ranging from poetry to hyper reality.

AUTUMN WINTER 2016-17 SEASON

PREMIÈRE VISION DESIGNS : GLUESIGNS AUTUMN WINTER 2016-17 COMPOSES DESIGNS IN CREATIVE AND EXPRESSIVE GAMES OF CONNECTIONS

At the heart of the show of textile designs and creations, the autumn winter 2016-17 season creates associations, assemblages and liaisons, in multidisciplinary languages, where techniques mingle for results that are aesthetic, expressive and stimulating, and slightly provocative.

This season is about taking risks, trying out new techniques, getting closer to one’s opposites. Autumn winter 2016-17 initiates encounters between faraway lands and bygone eras, between serious moods and tender joys, between grey pencils and luminous projections.

Intelligently combining, skilfully joining, excessively playing...the goal is to give motifs the leisure of taking a stand, with many hands joining in to create AN EXQUISITE decorative SEASON.

AUTUMN WINTER 2016-17 SEASON

PREMIÈRE VISION ACCESSORIES : BOUNCEAN AUTUMN WINTER 2016-17 FULL OF REBOUNDS

Accessories for autumn winter 2016-17 have jumped onto the trampoline of imagination and are bouncing from idea to idea. At each creative impact the effects grow stronger, multiplying and generating a wealth of new applications. Movements which make reality richer, more surprising, more unexpected and more beautiful.

Decorations radiate on silhouettes, confidently announcing their presence and boldly displaying their charms. They rebound with technology in an effervescence of mixtures, blends and fusions; nothing can stop the frenzied determination of materials to demonstrate their uniqueness.

They rebound with Nature. Authenticity propels them towards new territories, releases expressions in movement and makes determined steps towards design and interpretation. They rebound with Light and reveal optical reminiscences, material echoes, discreet periods of light and shadow. They mirror each other, explore new perspectives and play with illusions and false pretence.

Rich in surprising discoveries, at Première Vision Accessories this season, accessories are upsetting the established order of things.

AUTUMN WINTER 2016-17 SEASON

PREMIÈRE VISION YARNS: A REFINED SPRING SUMMER 2017

This season, Première Vision Yarns starts things off, tracing out the earliest directions and orientations for spring summer 2017, a season in advance of the other Première Vision Paris shows, which are presenting in September the new products for autumn winter 2016-17.

For spring summer 17, yarn refinement is expressed through plays on compositions, textures, opacity and paleness.

The diaphanous lightness of extra-fine fibres is revealed through contrasts with decidedly natural looking plant fibres. Spun yarns and smooth or textured filaments are combined to give bloom to textiles with an evanescent appearance, and ephemeral handles.

The Trends Gallery:Each season, this forum created by the Première Vision Leather fashion team offers buyers, designers and directors of international fashion labels in the luxury and premium sectors all the key material and colour trends for leather and furs. The Incube Forum:This annual zone dedicated to innovation in the leather sector this year focuses on the traceability of skins and their various stages of transformation. Quality is not only a matter of the leather one can feel in one’s hand; it also has to do with its origin and the environmental impact of the production cycle. A reflection of the enormous restructuring that tanneries are currently initiating, this forum will showcase bar codes and fact sheets that retrace the journey of each skin. More about Kuntee Sirikai

« To capture the moment is to live in the moment»At the early stage, I was doing an experiment which was rubber mixing with a variety of different materials. The rubber protects, conceals and freezes the shape of fluid materials. A thought ran through me: “I would like to pause something, what about a moment?”Then I began to film a lot of scenes and the movement that I liked related to jewellery. The camera allows me to record movements in slow motion and see things in a different angle than normal eyes can perceive. It resulted in my “Air collection”.When doing film, showing a scene in slow motion often does highlighting something important. I am interested in how our brain creates slow motion visions when facing unexpected events. It is an event, which creates an opportunity to make a choice, a vital decision. This inspired me and I continued filming a falling ring in order to capture a surprising movement. Using 3D software, I restructured and created a wearable moment jewellery collection, “dropping”.A few years ago 3D printing was a new thing in the art world. I was intrigued to learn and tried to use it as another platform to express my ideas and creations. It is interesting to see the potential for 3D printing and how it may benefit materials, influencing what we will wear in the future. I always believed that combining design and technology would improve the way of living as well as style.

Kuntee Sirikrai is a Bangkok and Copenhagen based jewellery artist and designer, who graduated from Royal College of Art, London in 2013. During 2013-2014, Kuntee had her works exhibited in galleries in London and some in Canada and Switzerland. Originally trained as an industrial designer and jewellery designer, she worked with House of Goldsmith and fine jewellery export company in Bangkok and interned at accessories company in Copenhagen for a year and was a freelance graphic designer, before starting her own label in 2015. Her works can be found on www.kunteesirikrai.com and www.todevise.com.
