We are pleased to submit this petition with over 260 industrial manufacturer signatories from across the country in support of the China 301 tariffs. The petition language is as follows:

On behalf of my company, I want to express my sincerest appreciation to you and your administration for the Section 301 investigation into China’s violation of intellectual property and the import tariffs you have applied.

America’s industrial base has been hobbled for over 20 years because our nation’s leaders have failed to confront China’s predatory trade practices.

The Coalition for a Prosperous America (CPA) estimates that if China were subjected to a 25 percent across-the-board tariff, GDP would increase by $125 billion over five years, with 721,000 new jobs created.

A strong nation requires a healthy industrial base, which is dependent on fair trade. I thank you for making trade enforcement such a high priority in your administration.

While these tariffs have been criticized in some parts of the news media, we wanted to let you know that many American manufactures from a variety of industrial supply chains are extremely supportive.
