Join Lucas Richman, Music Director of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, in an educational and musical experience as he speaks about Swiss- American composer Ernest Bloch, one of the most celebrated Jewish composers in the classical music world. Hear examples of how music is used in cultural, spiritual and creative expression, and particularly how Bloch expressed his spirituality through his musical composition, his work and his life. The orchestra will perform Music of the Spirit on February 20 & 21 at the Tennessee Theatre, including Ernest Bloch’s Sacred Service, with UT Choral Ensembles and soloist Nmon Ford, baritone.
