Swine on the Suwannee Jackpot Show 2019

General Rules

1. Show is open to all youth from any state, age 21 or younger as of September 1, 2018.

2. No limit to the number of animals you can show.

3. Swine will be judged on current and future potential market characteristics in purebred and market show.

4. All animals must be checked in prior to 9am Saturday, January 12, 2019.

5. Pigs may be penned 2 pigs per pen if needed. Bring a divider if you need one.

6. ALL swine are required to have a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI). All out of state swine must also

have a Florida permit number on the health papers. Permit numbers can be obtained by your veterinarian by

contacting Doyle Conner at (850) 410-0956. Gilts 6 months or older must be tested for Brucellosis and

Pseudorabies and CVI must be issued within 30 days of January 12, 2019. Show organizers reserve the right

to refuse any entry that exhibits unhealthy characteristics, based on the state vet inspection.

7. Barrows and gilts only, NO Boars will be allowed.

8. All crossbreds must have a readable ear tag. Purebreds can use the ear notch system.

9. Showing off trailer is encouraged as parking spaces allow. Trailer parking is first come, first served basis.

10. Space will be available for minimal washing and grooming.

11. Sponsors reserve the right to close the registration period prior to the deadline if necessary.

12. All classes will be split based on weight, but purebred birthdates will be available to the judge.

13. Maximum weight for all hogs competing in the FJSC series at this show will be 340 lbs.

14. The judge’s decisions are final in all classes.

15. Any youth under aged 21 or younger as of September 1, 2018, is permitted to show in showmanship if an

exhibitor will allow you to use his or her pig.

16. Showmanship will be grouped by ages as follows: Novice (8 and under), Juniors (9-12), Intermediate (13-

16), Seniors (17-21).

17. Show officials reserve the right to make changes deemed to be in the best interest of the show.

18. Showmanship money will be split as follows…1st -50%, 2nd -30%, 3rd -20%... of all entry money received for

that age group.

19. Based on 100 entries, payout will be Supreme Grand Champion: $1000, Supreme Reserve Champion:

$500. If fewer entries are received, show pay-outs will be adjusted accordingly, with a minimum of $500 to

the Grand Champion.

20. Weather permitting, all animals must be removed 2 hours following conclusion of the show.

21. All entry forms must be signed by the exhibitor and a parent or legal guardian.

22. Entry forms must be signed, complete, and received with entry fee to be accepted.

23. All exhibitors are responsible for cleaning pens prior to leaving barns.

24. ONLY shavings may be used in pens

25. Neither the show committee, Kountry Bumpkins 4-H Club, nor the Suwannee River Fair Association will be

responsible for any accidents or injuries that occur.

26. Neither the show committee, Kountry Bumpkins 4-H Club, nor the Suwannee River Fair Association will be

responsible for any lost or stolen personal items or damages to personal property.
