Purpose of Program & Project Funding Growth and propagation of wild and native fish in
waters throughout Montana. Typical projects include: fish passage, fish
entrainment reduction, restoration of streams, enhancement of stream flow and fishing improvements.
Who can Apply? Any applicant type
Maximum Funding No specific grant limit, program typically limited to
$350,000 to $650,000 total allocation per year Match Requirements
No match required, though projects with matches are strongly encouraged
Purpose of Program & Project Funding Purpose is for wetland conservation projects which
benefit wetland associated migratory birds and other wildlife.
Dam related projects usage includes projects which provide long term protection, restoration and enhancement of wetlands.

grant and loan assistance to construct, repair, and improve water supply and distribution
Who can Apply? Public entities, Tribes & non-profit corporations with
projects located in rural areas and towns up to 10,000 people
