Scale-up synthesis of naturalised dyes

Naturalised dyes are innovative colorants, combining the dyeing power of known

chromophores to the hydrophilicity of sugars. The result is that the dyeing process of leather

can be carried out in the absence of chemical additives, normally used to aid the water

solubility of the dye. The cromophores and the sugars are chemically bonded and the

resulting molecules are stable species.
