MY HOME AND MY FAMILYFrancesco's family is
composed of: his faher, his
mother, his two brothers
and his sister.
The house is on a mountain
in Übelbach. It has three
floors and the view is
amazing, with or without
the snow!!
GRAZ’S MAIN SQUARE– DER HAUPTPLAZ
Hauptplatz is the principal square.
There you can find the city hall
and a lot of stands where they sell
the food and, around Christmas
time, there are a lot of beautiful
lights and some stands with
handmade things.
RIEGERSBURGRiegersburg is the biggest fortitude of Austria. Inside the castle you can visit
three parts: the part on the witches, the part on the weapons or the tour
about the history of the castle. You can see everything from the top!
THE SCHOOL – BG REIN
The school is situated in Rein and is part of a monastery. The monastery is the
oldest monastery still used in Europe. It's really really big!
.
MY EXPERIENCE The school is so different, we did a lot of things there. We had 5 times a week of art, something that we
never done in Naples. The school is so big, with a lot of different classes of all the subjects that you can
imagine. We liked all the teachers. We studied French, German and English.
One of the things that is a special Finnish thing is the NASUT: it consists
to throw food to the students from the first year and to let them make stupid games. For us it was like an
act of bullying know to everyone. We think that it was one of the strange thing that we ever seen. But for
them this activity represents an important thing , because it is a Finnish tradition.
We went also in Vierumaki, that is the sport city of Finland. We played tennis, we went to the flow park, to
the gym and we did for the first time the sauna. It’s an amazing thing. We loved so much. It’s so helpful for
the muscles and is a relaxing thing, and we adore this kind of stuffs.
We visited some places here, like Loppi, that is a town near Helsinki, more or less one hour and a half
from the city. Susu has there a summer cottage where we went two times. It’s a very big house, all made
of wood. We went looking for mushrooms both the two times. We ate them, they were so good. We went
fishing, and we took some crabs, that we ate with butter and bread. There we did the sauna and we used
the KOIVU(Birch).
LAPLAND
THE MOST EXCITING THING THAT I DID THERE WAS OUR TRIP FOR NORD KAPP WITH A CAMPER DURING OUR AUTUMN BREAK, THE NORTHEST
PART OF THE EUROPE. WE PASSED FOR LAPLAND AND NORWAY. WE SPENT 6 NIGHTS IN THE “HOUSE CAR”. IT WAS SO NICE, I’D NEVER BEEN IN A
SIMILAR ONE BEFORE. WE WERE 4: KALLE, SUSU’S FATHER, ANNIKA, SUSU’S SISTER, SUSU AND I. I SLEPT IN THE BED WITH SUSU. EVERY
EVENING WE PLAYED TO SAME TABLE GAME. WE SAW REINDEERS, KILLER WHALES, SEALS, WE WENT TO THE SEA, TO A ZOO, WE TOOK 2 BOATS
IN NORWAY. IT WAS SO EXCITING BUT , SO COLD, THERE WAS A LOT OF SOW, BUT IT WAS FINE. IN NORWAY WAS -6 DEGREES , BUT THEY SAID
THAT WAS NOT A SPECIAL EVENT , SO IN A WAY I WAS LUCKY, ALSO BECAUSE NOW THERE IS -20… AND WE ARE JUST IN NOVEMBER. WHEN WE
WERE IN LAPLAND WE WENT TO THE REAL FACTORY OF SANTA CLAUS. WE TOOK A PHOTO ALL TOGETHER. THEY ASKED ME TO SING… I TRIED TO
SING “ O SOLE MIO” BUT I MISSED THE WORDS BECAUSE I WAS IN FRONT OF SANTA CLAUS…. IT WAS SO EMBARRASSING! THERE I TRIED THE
REINDEER MEAT, IN TWO WAYS, COOKED AND SMOKED. I LOVE IT. IT’S THE MOST FAMOUS FOOD THERE . IN SEVEN DAYS I SAW FIVE TIMES
THE NORDEN LIGHTS... I DON’T HAVE WORDS FOR THEM. THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING THING THAT I EVER SEEN
IN MY LIFE. THE COLOR, THE SOUND , THE PLACE WHERE WE WERE, THE SNOW.. A REAL DREAM!. IT WILL BE FOREVER IN MY MIND, LIKE A PHOTO.
MY EXPERIENCE• THE FIRST WEEK OF NOVEMBER MY FAMILY AND MY
BOYFRIEND CAME THERE FOR ONE WEEK. WE WENT TO
TALLINN, IN ESTONIA, FOR ONE DAY. IT’S . A LITTLE AND
CUTE CITY. I LIKED IT SO MUCH. WE WENT ALSO TO
SUOMELINNA, A SMALL ISLAND, COLD BUT BEAUTIFUL.
IN THAT WEEK WE SAW LOTS OF THINGS, LIKE THE
SUPERMARKET OF HELSINKI, SOME CHURCHES, ALL THE
CITY.
• ONE OF THE LAST DAYS VILMA, SUSU, , NILO AND US
WENT TO A TRAMPOLIN PARK, WITH THREE ASYLUM
SEEKERS. IT WAS SO FUNNY. WITH THEM WE ALSO
WENT TO BOWLING, AND WE DID SOME FOOD ALL
TOGETHER AT SCHOOL.
THE FAMILY AND THEIR HOUSEI stayed from 8th September to 6th December in Berlin at Lisa Spielmann. I’ve changed the family
in the middle of the experience because of Lisa health’s problems and I went to Anita Moeck’s
family
In this house there are three toilets (two upstairs) (one is for Anita, one for her father and one for
her sister), two living room (one upstairs), a kitchen, an office, the music room (my preferred : you
can lay on the soft rug and listen to classical music for relaxing).I've my personal bedroom and I
share the bathroom/toilet with Anita
Anita has been my host. She is so amazing: nothing is impossible for her! We
loved to watch movies together (obviously in German with German or English
subtitles). She loves baking, in fact a day she baked a delicious “Donauwelle” (a
cake). She lives with her father, Mathias: he's so cute, very careful for everything
and always considerate. He's interested about my life, my country's traditions
and my day's projects
THE SCHOOLTHE SCHOOL IS AMAZING; THERE'S ANOTHER SYSTEM: SO THE STUDENTS CHANGE
ROOM EVERY LESSON, BECAUSE EVERY SUBJECT ITS OWN ROOM, LIKE THE ART
ROOM: IT IS BEAUTIFUL, WITH A LOT OF DRAWS, COLOR PENCILS AND EVERY KIND
OF THINGS YOU NEED FOR DRAWING . EVERY LESSON TAKES 80 MINUTES AND THIS
TIME IS CALLED "BLOCKUNTERRICHT". THE SCHOOL IS COMPOSED OF THREE
BUILDINGS: "HAUS 1" AND "HAUS 2" ARE FOR GUYS OF MY AGE; THE "HAUS
FROSCH" IS GREEN AND FOR YOUNG GUYS. IN THE "HAUS 1" THERE IS THE CANTEEN
WHERE EVERYONE CAN BUY A WARM FOOD, AND THERE'S A MACHINE WITH WHICH
YOU CAN MAKE FULL OF WATER YOUR BOTTLE . THERE'S A SUPERMARKET NEAR THE
SCHOOL, IF SOMEONE DOESN'T LIKE THE FOOD OF THE CANTEEN. ABOUT THE
LESSONS, IT'S SO STRANGE TO FOLLOW THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE ONES, BECAUSE
THE TEACHER EXPLAINS THE WORDS AND TRANSLATES IN THEIR NATIVE
LANGUAGE, AND FOR ME THEY ARE BOTH FOREIGN LANGUAGES.
SPREEPARKI've seen the river that flows through Berlin: "die Spree”. All
there’s a beautiful park where someone can stay on the
grass or sit on the bench and see the river. The park is all
natural: trees, grass, flowers everywhere
BERLINZOO
That’s such a great and beautiful place ! it’s very big (you
need 4/5 hours to visit just the zoo), and there was every
kind of animals: from the polar bear to the camel. I saw
the polar wolf (so beautiful and powerful), the brown
bear (so cute), the reindeer (before I thought they were
elks, but after I translated the name). The best of all
(after pandas, of course) are the elephants: I discovered
that there are two sorts of elephant (a Chinese one and
an African one: you see the difference from the ears,
because the Chinese one has smaller ones than the
African have ), and I saw the Chinese male one, so he had
long tusks
LUSTGARTENIT'S A VERY BIG SQUARE WHERE THERE'S A GARDEN WITH NEAR
A CHURCH AND DAS ALTE MUSEUM. I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT
THE GREECE (FIRST OF ALL, THE MYTHOLOGY), AND THE ALTES
MUSEUM IS LOOKS LIKE A TEMPLE. IT'S AN ART MUSEUM, BUT I
HAVEN'T EVEN VISITED IT YET. THE CATHEDRAL IS SOMETHING
AMAZING: IT'S THE “BERLINER DOM”. IT'S BAROQUE STYLE,
BUILT IN XVIII CENTURY. FROM THIS PLACE, YOU CAN SEE THE
SPREE, THE BERLIN'S RIVER, AND NEAR THERE'S A FOUNTAIN OF
THE GOD OF THE SEA: POSEIDON (GREEK MYTHOLOGY AGAIN).
FIRST MONTH ESSAYTHE FIRST MONTH HERE IN FINLAND HAS BEEN REALLY NICE,I’VE
BEEN ABLE TO GO TO TWO NEAR CITIES AND I REALLY LIKED THEM
SO MUCH. THE THIRD WEEKEND WE HAVE BEEN TO VIERUMAKI

SECOND MONTH ESSAY
THE SECOND MONTH IN HELSINKI HAS BEEN REALLY NICE, IN THE
AUTUMN BREAK (WHICH IS AN ENTIRE WEEK OF HOLIDAY) WE
HAVE BEEN TO STOCHOLM,IN SWEDEN,FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS AND
I’VE LOVED IT. THE CITY WAS BEAUTIFUL WITH A LOT OF COLORFUL
HOUSES AND PEOPLE IN THE STREETS DOING SHOPPING. FROM MY
POINT OF VIEW STOCHOLM IS LIKE A ‘’BIGGER HELSINKI’’ (THAT’S
ALSO WHAT FINNISH PEOPLE SAY),FULL OF FORESTS AND GREEN
PARKS. WHILE WE WERE IN STOCHOLM WE HAVE ALSO VISITED
ABBA MUSEUM AND JUNIBACKEN,A MUSEUM ABOUT A VERY
FAMOUS SWEDISH WRITER (ASTRID LINDGREN) OF FICTION AND
SCREENPLAYS,BUT SHE’S BEST KNOWN AS CHILDRENS’ BOOK
SERIES WRITER, SUCH AS PIPPI LONGSTOCKING OR THE SIX
BULLERBY CHILDREN,AND I’VE LOVED THEM BOTH. WE HAVE ALSO
BEEN IN SCHOOL BAKING CAKES WITH SOME REFUGEES
THIRD MONTH ESSAYTHIS LAST MONTH IN HELSINKI HAS PROBABLY BEEN THE
BEST ONE, IN THE BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER MY FAMILY
CAME TO VISIT AND WE WENT TO SEE SOME MUSEUMS IN
HELSINKI SUCH AS THE ATHENEUM,THE NATIONAL FINNISH
MUSEUM AND KIASMA AND WE ALSO WENT TO A 4D CINEMA
THAT SHOWED A VIDEO OF ALL THE THINGS YOU CAN SEE IN
HELSINKI AND THE CITIES NEARBY. WHEN MY FAMILY
LEFT,FEDERICA’S FAMILY CAME TO VISIT HER AND WE ALL
WENT TO TALLINN IN ESTONIA TO VISIT THE OLD TOWN.
WE’VE ALSO BEEN TO PLAY AN ‘’HORROR’’ MINI GOLF AND IT
WAS VERY SCARY BUT FUNNY AT THE SAME TIME. THE LAST
WEEK WE HAVE BEEN THE THEATER TO SEE A SHOW ABOUT
REFUGEES AND WE WENT ALSO THE SEE AN ICE HOCKEY
MATCH WHICH I LOVED! WE’VE ALSO BEEN TO RUSH
TRAMPOLINE PARK AND HAD SO MUCH FUN
