Background and History• Founded by Rob Mitchell and Steve Beckett in

2001• Rob Mitchell died in 2001, before the first film

was produced• Their first film “Chris Morris’ My Wrongs” Was

shot in 2002• It won the 2003 BAFTA ‘Best short film’ award

Other notable titles• Dead man’s shoes – shot in 22 days with a tight budget, still

earned a BAFTA nomination as well as being nominated for a record 8 British film awards.

• This is England – thought of as warp films “breakout success” it has gained many awards including the Best Film at the British Independent Films Awards, the Special Jury Prize at the Rome Film Festival and Best British Film at the BAFTAs

• Grow on you own – Released by Pathe, this was their first collaboration with BBC

• Four Lions – Their first box office success, achieving a total gross of £2,932,366 as of August 2010
