Things to know how to do in PPT Design Guidelines: Things Everyone Should Know

Things to Know in PPT Sometimes, Strokes (borders) are Just Better
Files like HLP & Flows work better with simple strokes instead of drop shadows. No matter what you do, keep it consistent.
Example 1: Side by side = stroke The HLP and the Flow are placed side by side. With the background being white, it is more appropriate to use a simple stroke.

Things to Know in PPT Other times, shadows are needed along with a stroke

Example 2: Overlapped objects = Drop Shadow The HLP and the Flow are Overlapping one another. Sometimes to be able to distinguish between the two object, a drop shadow needs to be applied along with a stroke.
