1. Project Objectives

The city wide ‘Network of Smart Elements’ will accomplish the following broad

objectives:

1. Improve the delivery of urban services (increased efficiency and effectiveness) and

the management of urban infrastructure.

2. Improve the situational awareness of the city administrators and residents.

3. Provide administrators, citizens, tourists and businesses real time and actionable

information to aid their day to day decision making.

• 250 CCTV Cameras

• 12 Environmental/Weather Sensors

• 12 Variable Message Display boards on Gantries

• Approx 100 km of OFC Network (augmentation of 100km of 24 core fibtre already laid by VMC)

• Integration with CCC

Approximate Cost : Rs 80 Cr (Including OPEX for 3 years)
