ACCELERATED WEATHERING TEST

ACCELERATED WEATHERING

WEATHERING CYCLE

UV exposure according to

ASTM G-154 (21 hours), followed by rain

showers (1 hour) and drying at 110⁰C (2 hours).

The samples, Concrete blocks, Bricks, Plaster,

Sand stone, and Cement Sheet

have undergone over 90 cycles.

All the Samples retained over 98% of water

repellency, after 90 cycles

TESTS DESCRIPTION SPECIFICATIONS

ASTM 1195 Absorption of architectural cast stone Min. 85% protection

ASTM 1403 Rate of water absorption of masonry mortar Min. 85% reduction

ASTM E 514 Water penetration and leakage through masonry

Min. 90% reduction

ASTM C67 Sampling testing of brick & structural clay tile Min. 85% reduction

ASTM C 1653 Vapour transmission through clear organicfilm

98% efficient

ASTM G 154 Accelerated weathering standard practice for operating enclosed carbon arc apparatus

for exposure on non-metallic material

Min. 95% effective after exposure

> 5% reduction in efficiency

RILEM TEST METHOD 11.4

Rate of water movement through porous material, like, masonry

Max. 0.2ml drop in 20 min.

Page 19: Presentation on Breaking conventions for low cost housing

NGO FORMULATION

Conventional solvent based Silanes & Silane/Siloxane mixture

contains flammable volatile organic solvents which are released into

the environment.

NGO is applied in substantially diluted form (20 times water),

releasing significantly less amount of Volatile Organics.

2 gm vs 10 gm / ft.2 coverage

NGO meets the toughest VOC standards
