About Know for its distinctive architecture and
flowing, curved style that reject sharp angles.
Established a continuous, fluid relationship between its surrounding plaza and the building’s interior.
Principally consists of two collaborating systems: a concrete structure combined with a space frame system
Has become a signature landmark of modern Baku due to its innovative and cutting-edge design
10
Materials Is a mix of reinforced concrete, steel frame
structures, and composite beams and decks Glass fiber reinforced plastics (GFRP) and
glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) panels are the predominant materials used in the façade system
Panels offer a lightweight construction method Powerful plasticity of the building’s design To have high durability and a long lifetime and
low maintenance efforts.
White concrete can be individually molded to form the curved shapes required by the design
Resin panels were used for the flooring.
space frame is composed of a special steel tube-and-nodes system
11
Plan and Elevation
12
13
Exterior The landscape emerges from the
ground to blend with the building. A cut of the barrel at the front of the
housing carries the glass doors that open to a corridor of whiteness.
The project has a terraced landscape that provides alternative routes and connections between the public square, construction, and underground parking.
14
Interior The ground floor has several spaces lobbying
aimed at creating public places that unite the different aspects of the program of the center
Floors turn into ramps and walls, twisting into soffits and ceilings
The Library is oriented north to take advantage of natural light and has its own entrance.
Plants tumble over one another with ramps which connect, creating a continuous circulation path.
Library is connected to the conference room through a bridge that 'fly' over the entrance hall
The Library and Museum are also connected by a ramp
15
Interiors A grand stairway inside the center leads to one of its many levels
16
Interiors The backlit oak panels in the conference center’s 1,000-seat auditorium bring warmth to the otherwise vividly white interior.
17
Interiors The ground floor has several lobby spaces intended to create public venues for uniting the different aspects of the center’s program.
18
The center's three main programs join together in a main hall with multiple levels and pathways
19
Lightings Lighting has been carefully
considered -To emphasize the continuous relationship between the building’s exterior and interior
The lighting design strategy differentiates the day and night reading of the building
Natural lights and artificial lights are used to highlight the building
20
lightings Enough artificial lights are used to
highlights the furnitures, ceilings, staircase and floors too.
Natural lights are entered through atriums
Recessed LEDs at sides of the steps- LED fixtures below stair railings

Lighting for night timeArtificial lights are used at the night time.
Artificial lights don’t have shape. Lining types of lights are used
25

color, along with symbolising the bright future,
white cements produce clean, bright colors, especially for light pastels.
Light reflects from the white walls and make walls to glow
