The INTERREG IVC Program is part of the European Territorial Cooperation Objective of the Structural Fund policies for the period 2007-2013. It is a EU program that helps regions of Europe work together to share their knowledge and experience. Launched in 2007, the programme will run until 2013.

“Helping regions to share solutions”


The project G4G has been developed as an answer to two necessities. ◦The difficulty to reach Lisbon Agenda goals on time

by 2010,◦ The charter on Local Life (CEMR, 2006), signed by

several partners now.With Gender4Growth, partners intend to update

their frameworks of economic policies, facilitating professional contribution of women to the economy.

Main objective:Reinforce awareness of gender in relation to Reinforce awareness of gender in relation to

regional policies of economic development.regional policies of economic development.Sub-objectives :Technical analysis of regional policies, transfer of

practices;Increased involvement of politicians, institutions,

and social and economic partners (from the local to European level).


Collection and evaluation of practices in partner regions on four thematic areas:◦Employment ◦Access to work ◦Entrepreneurship ◦Women participation

Veneto Region is in charge of Component 3, they realise and manage the methodology. Every partner of the project produce best practices and good policies .

Practices / policies surveyFocus groupsQualitative interviews The three tools used for the collection of practices give

quantitative and qualitative information in order to proceed with the next step, namely a benchmarking exercise following 10 criteria

Last October all partners met in Timisoara (Ro). The title of this European conference was : “The transfer of good practices in European projects a chance

for local authorities ? The gender equality as an example”During this conference every partner choose one or two good

practices issued from another partner. We are actually working in bilateral group to begin the process

of transfer at regional and local level.

One of the main issue of our first European conference in Venice (Oct 2009) was to make new studies, mainly to answer to political demand.

This process start till a few month, and our partner from Lidköping Kommun have taken the lead on this studies.

We have to realise 7 studies, the topics are :

Working conditions Pay Gap

Women in STEM, ICT Access to finance

Stereotypes Exclusion to Inclusion

Vocational training, Apprentiship

All this studies will be presented for our next and last conference in Paris next June.
