- Workshop towards a National Policy on Agroclimatically Sustainable Livestock (GIZ, MADR and IICA)
- Need to have a consultant body that has technical knowledge on the subject in the country: Sustainable Livestock Roundtable
2014
- Begins process of formation and consolidation of the working group: Workshop Mission, Vision and Objectives.
- First version Constitution and Statutes document
2015
- Consolidation of the space of interinstitutional dialogue.
- Consolidation of the Constitution and Statutes document and annex "General guidelines", signing process.
2016- Three working commissions are formed: Institutional, Markets and Technique.
- The 2016 Action Plan is drawn up.
2017- The "Internal Regulations" and the related annex "General Guidelines“ are signed.
- The 2017 Action Plan is drawn up and the working groups are formed.
BACKGROUND
• Support the structuring of public policies, and the development of programs, plans and projects related to sustainable livestock production in Colombia.
OBJECTIVE
• Be an independent, inclusive, participatory institutional initiative that functions as an instance of management and orientation of strategies to promote the sustainable development of livestock in Colombia.
MISSION
• We are part of the transformation of livestock in Colombia as the reference for orientation in the development and implementation of strategies that promote sustainability in the value chain.
