Walking through the city, I noticed theinteresting lighting solution of the Uffizi arcades.Natural light enters the covered walkwaythrough small openings in the arches andgentle light is filling the previously dark space.

Camminando nella città ho notato l’interessantesoluzione adottata nelle arcate degli Uffizi: la

luce naturale passando attraverso dei piccolilucernari rischiara i soffitti del portico,chealtrimenti sarebbero nella quasi totale oscurità.

The internal street formed by 40 semi-circularchapels is probably the most intriguingarchitectural aspect of Santo Spirito. Kreon’slighting scenography aims to reinforce thisconcept in full respect of the architecture.

This first layer of the Chapel Lighting isprovided by 2 Kreon Diapasons per chapel.One is providing a circular spot, the other arectangular frame: together they follow therhythm of the structure. All Diapasons are fittedwith HIPAR L30 (35W) lamps (high efficiency –

low maintenance) softened by a warm-whitedichroic glass and are equipped with amechanical dim system.
