CREATING A CULTURE OF LEARNERS
Using Data and Research to Create a Collegiate Culture
WE ARE LEARNERS!!!
A college education provides a life of options, rather than of limitations. Provide your students with these opportunities by making your high school a place where college is the next step for everyone. When students have school, parental, and community support, college is seen as the norm: higher education is the expectation rather than the exception. www.collegeboard.org

DEVELOPING A COLLEGE FOCUS
Services for Parents and Students
WE LEARN
TOGETHER!!!
“The Region One GEAR UP parent sessions were extremely valuable in providing us parents with the necessary tools to prepare our students for the admissions process for college. Each year we learned new information that helped us help other parents. We did this with the help of our principal and our superintendent. It was a team effort that helped parents and students get ready for the next step in their education. Working together allows us to achieve more.”

Additionally, any student who successfully completes the course in English or Math, will earn advanced course credit for the foundation plan in the respective content area.
As stipulated in the HB 5 CPC Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), signed by Region One superintendents and presidents of the local IHEs in the fall of 2014, English and Math HB 5 CPC teachers are required to attend continuing professional development offerings to instruct the HB 5 courses.
