Preparing for Pentecost Ascension Day to Pentecost

May 21-30, 2020 During the ten days between the ascension of Jesus Christ and the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, Luke tells us that the believers prayed.

They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. Acts 1:14 (NIV)

Between May 21 and May 30, 2020 PRMI will be preparing for Pentecost in prayer. During that time, we will offer three prayer times each day where people can gather through Zoom to pray for the work of the Holy Spirit in individual lives as well as families, churches, regions, nations and the world. This Year we are also partnering with 10 Days (a 24/7 Global worship and Prayer event). Find a time of prayer that works for your schedule. You are not expected to be at all of them.

Calls are expected to be about 1 hour in length.

You have liberty to join in as many calls on as many days as you wish.

A designated leader will be in the virtual meeting room to focus the time of prayer.

Day 1: Thursday May 21, 2020 Ascension Day Ascension Day

Suggestions for Prayer

• Pray for our own personal need of the Holy Spirit

• Pray that the church, as a whole, would recognize its need for the Holy Spirit

Pray for PRMI’s Prayer House

• Give thanks for the progress on the Prayer house so far

• Pray for the resources needed to complete the Prayer House

• Pray that this Prayer House can become a hub for intercession

Day 2: Friday May 22, 2020 Thirst

Scripture

John 7:37-39


• Pray for our own need to thirst for the Holy Spirit

• Pray that there would be a growing thirst for the Holy Spirit in our churches, denominations and the world

• Pray for a growing desire for Jesus to permeate congregations Pray for PRMI’s Exousia – Volunteer Leadership Development

• Give thanks for Exousia, which equips people for leadership within PRMI

• Give thanks for PRMI’s culture and DNA, which provides a safe atmosphere for people to encounter the Holy Spirit

• Pray for the expansion of the reach of PRMI’s ministry

Day 3: Saturday May 23, 2020 Expectancy

Scripture Ephesians 3:20


• Pray that we would grow in our expectancy for the Lord to move in our lives

• Give thanks for what we have seen God do in the past

• Pray that the church would look with expectation for a move of God locally and globally. Pray for PRMI’s Virtual Upper Room

• Give thanks for all those who have received the Baptism or infilling of the Holy Spirit through the Virtual Upper Room

• Pray for God’s blessing upon the teams he is raising up to minister in the Virtual Upper Room

• Pray that the Lord would continue to expand the reach and impact of the ministry through the Virtual Upper Rooms

Day 4: Sunday May 24, 2020 Repentance

Scripture Acts 2:36-39 and Psalm 139:23-24


• Pray personal needs which need to be brought to the Lord in confession

• Pray that the Lord would reveal areas which need to be confessed

• Pray that the global church would move into a posture of confession and repentance

• Pray for PRMI’s Dunamis Project

• Give thanks for the systematic teaching on the person and work of the Holy Spirit that is found in the Dunamis Project

• Pray that the Lord will continue to equip and empower people to be witnesses for Jesus through the project

• Pray that the Lord would multiply the number of Dunamis project that are happening and raise up the necessary teams to make this possible.

Day 5: Monday May 25, 2020 Surrender

Scripture

• Show us Lord what we need to let go of

• Pray for the strength to surrender the things which hinder receiving the Holy Spirit

• Pray that the church would surrender and be led by the Holy Spirit

• Pray for PRMI’s Advanced Course in Healing and Deliverance

• Give thanks for the way the Holy Spirit will use people to help facilitate healing and deliverance

• Pray for those who are growing in learning how to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in this area of healing ministry

• Give thanks for the way the Lord meets people and bring healing and freedom into their lives.

Day 6: Tuesday May 26, 2020 Ask

• Ask for the Holy Spirit to move in our lives

• Pray for a move of the Holy Spirit in our churches and in our nations Pray for PRMI’s Equipping and mobilizing of Intercessors

• Give thanks for those the Lord has called into doing the work of strategic intercession

• Pray that the Lord will continue to raise up prayer networks and cohorts to do this intercessory work

• Pray that the Lord would provide the financial resources to continue to provide the equipping and resourcing of intercessors

Day 7: Wednesday May 27, 2020 Receive in Faith

• Pray for the faith to receive from the Lord what he has for us

• Pray with thanksgiving for the ways the Lord will answer prayer and for all he is doing around the world

Pray for PRMI’s Growing the Church Conference

• Pray that the Lord would grow his church in the power of the Holy Spirit

• Pray for renewal within congregations

• Pray that the church would experience a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit

Day 8: Thursday May 28, 2020 Obedience

• Pray for our will to be in tune with the Lords so that we step easily into obedience

• Pray that when the opportunity comes, we will be able to get out of the boat with Jesus

• Pray that the church would be ready to move in obedience to the Spirit’s leading

• Pray for PRMI’s Upward Challenge

• Give thanks for the young people who have encountered the Holy Spirit through Upward Challenge

• Pray for more youth to experience the Holy Spirit and be equipped to be witnesses for Jesus Christ in the world

• Pray for the Lord to bless the leadership of Upward challenge

• Pray for empowered witness in the places Jesus is calling us personally

• Pray for the continued empowered witness of PRMI as we share about the person and work of the Holy Spirit

• Pray that the church would be empowered to be a strong witness of Jesus Pray for PRMI’s Ministry Team

• Pray that the Lord will provide all they need to be able to expand the ministry of PRMI

• Give thanks for all the volunteers who make the ministry of PRMI possible

• Pray for PRMI’s Mission Outreach

• Give thanks for the various mission teams who take PRMI’s teaching around the world

• Pray for the resources needed to do the translation work and prepare teaching materials in various languages

• Pray that the mission work PRMI is able to do would be expanded
