Part I – Preparation of the Sarvato Bhadra Chart

PREPARATION OF SARVATO BHADRA CHAKRA

1. Draw 10 vertical and 10 horizontal lines, intersecting each other, thereby forming 81 vargas.

2. These vargas must be equal in size and must be squares. 3. There are Sarvato Bhadra Chakras which have 64 or 144 vargas but these are not

common. 4. All the 28 nakshatras, including Abhijit, are place on the outer varagas of the

chakras. 5. The 4 varagas in the 4 corners are allotted to 4 vowels, A, AA, E, EE. 6. As shown in the above diagram, the nakshatras are placed in the following

directions:

a) Nakshatras in the East (on top of the chart) as per varga nos. 2 to 8
