Negotiating Construction SubcontractsASM’s popular seminar series is back!In “Negotiating Construction Subcontracts” Atty. Carolyn Francisco will highlight typical contract clauses that are potentially damaging, and suggest ways to make changes that can lessen your risk on a project – without jeopardizing the deal. The focus is on practicality – i.e., changes that have a realistic chance of acceptance, as well as “best case” changes that may be a long shot, but are worth a try.

The program will include review of clauses covered in prior sessions that continue to cause the greatest angst – e.g., relating to indemnifi cation, fl ow down, scope, schedule, payment, delay and more. In addition, we will cover some new and less obvious terms that can also pack a punch if you are not careful. And fi nally, we will alert you to some of the provisions to watch for regarding retainage, that don’t comply with our new law.
