You reap the benefits of improving workplace health and safety sooner, with only claims costs from the previous financial year influencing your policy rating.

• Your premium is calculated using a simplified premium model, based on a claims performance rating

• To help protect you from large variances in premium, if your policy rating changes, it can only increase (or decrease) by one policy rating per year

• First $500 in claims costs is excluded.

Your performance is the greatest factor you can control to reduce your premium. The shorter the claim, the lower the claim costs, which means less impact on your premium.

• Your policy covers any worker you employ

• Our definition of a worker aligns with ATO

• A person who performs the same work in the same way as an employee is likely to be a worker

• Even where a person calls themselves a 'sub-contractor', has their own ABN and is responsible for their own tax, if you engage them for work, they may be considered a worker under the Act.

WHO IS A WORKER?

A person who works under a ‘contract of service’ is a worker.

It is a standard employer and employee relationship.
