Ayurvedic herbology-known as Dravyaguna in Sanskrit is an integral part of Ayurvedic approach to well being. Traditional books written by great scholars have always given the detail insight of each herb based on Ayurvedic principles of Rasa, virya, Vipaka, and Prabhava. But still these books lack a researched-based critical validation and efficacy on these herbs. The present work by Dr. Premila has very effectively fulfilled the gap. . . . I am sure this will prove A GREAT RESOURCE for all Ayurvedic physicians as well as western herbalists. I feel no hesitation to recommend this book to all who are keen to use Ayurvedic herbs with more confidence in their practices.” —Dr. S.
