GENERAL INFORMATIONThe purpose of this manual is to give you information to safely operate your Premier Groomer. Please read and understand the ENTIRE

manual before you set up, operate, perform maintenance, or store your Premier Groomer.

DO NOT operate your Premier Groomer without first understanding the stated safety and operating guidelines. Doing so will increase the

risk of injury to operator and equipment and may void the warranty.

Proper operation of your Premier Groomer provides better results, creates a safer work environment, and increases the life of your Premier

Groomer.

This information is current at this time of printing. We continually improve and upgrade our products. For current product updates visit

General Warnings• Using a Premier Groomer requires special training on your part.• Never permit operation of a Premier Groomer by anyone who is not trained and has not read the manual.• Accidents are most likely to occur when a Premier Groomer is loaned or rented to someone who has not read the operator’s

manual and is not familiar with the proper operation of a Premier Groomer.• Please read and follow the instructions provided in this manual when using a Premier Groomer.• For proper and safe operation of a Premier Groomer, periodically inspect all parts for excessive wear. Replace worn components

with factory-authorized parts.• Unauthorized modifications to a Premier Groomer may impair the function and/or safety and reduce its life. If equipment has

been altered in any way from original design, the manufacturer does not accept any liability for injury or warranty.• The parts of a Premier Groomer have been designed and tested for rugged use. However, they could fail upon impact with heavy,

solid objects such as steel guard rails and concrete abutments. Such impact could cause the broken objects to be thrown outward at very high velocities. To reduce the possibility of property damage, serious injury, loss of limb, or even death, never allow themachine to contact such obstacles.

• Do not remove any warning labels, safety guards, or other safety devices. • Ensure you are using proper equipment to pull a Premier Groomer. Know how to safely operate your equipment and know how to

stop quickly in an emergency.

Before Use• Before each use of a Premier Groomer, always conduct a pre-operation inspection. Always carefully check all bolts, lock collars,

and bearings as they may vibrate loose from transport and usage.• Inspect bolts, lock collars, and bearings after the each 10 hours of use.• Never work under a Premier Groomer unless it is blocked securely.• Inspect the area to be groomed and clear away any objects such as stones, sticks, or other debris from the grooming area.

Rules for Safe OperationDANGER operation of a Premier Groomer could lead to SERIOUS INJURY, LOSS OF LIMB, or DEATH

• DO NOT operate under the influence of alcohol or drugs.• OPERATE only when alert and not tired or ill.• ONLY OPERATE a Premier Groomer with proper lighting either natural or artificial.• NEVER put feet or hands or any other body part near a Premier Groomer when it is in operation.• NEVER operate barefoot and always operate with proper footwear such as boots or sturdy work shoes.• OPERATE at a safe speed taking into consideration the terrain. It is best to operate at a slow speed until you become familiar

with the operation of a Premier Groomer.• NEVER leave the pulling equipment unattended while the engine is turned on.• ALWAYS stop the pulling equipment, set brake, shut off the engine, remove the ignition key, lower implement to the ground before

dismounting the pulling equipment. Never leave the pulling equipment unattended with its engine running.• USE extreme care and maintain minimum ground speed when grooming on a hillside, over rough ground and when operating close

to ditches or fences. Be careful when turning sharp corners. • DO NOT attempt to operate the equipment in areas with steep inclines, ditches, large rocks, stumps, or holes which may endanger

the operator or cause damage to the equipment. • DO NOT back up with tines down. Severe damage can occur to the equipment.• USE CAUTION when operating a Premier Groomer in inclement whether including any icy, wet, or snowy condition.• DO NOT use a Premier Groomer on roadways, highways, or public thoroughfares. Premier Groomers are designed for off road use only.• AVOID turning on a sloped surface. • BE ALERT for hidden hazards.• DO NOT use near people or pets as objects may be thrown from a Premier Groomer. • DO NOT allow pets, children, or anyone else to ride on a Premier Groomer.

PREMIER PRO GROOMER

LIMITED WARRANTY INFORMATIONPremier Equestrian, Inc (“Premier Equestrian”) is located at 8915 S. 700 E. #102, Sandy, Utah 84070.

The Premier Groomer is warranted for twelve (12) months from the date of the original invoice against defects in materials and/or workmanship but only when put to the normal and designed consumer and commercial uses and in accordance with the user instruction manual provided with the Premier Groomer and instructions on the Premier Equestrian website or marketing materials specific to a Premier Groomer. This warranty is limited and only valid on new equipment to the original purchaser who has a valid proof of purchase. This limited warranty does not cover components which already are covered by a separate warranty provided by the supplier of any such parts or components. This limited warranty further does not cover misuse, abuse, accidents or damage due to inadequate maintenance. Final judgment of all misuse, abuse and normal and designed consumer and commercial uses shall be in Premier Equestrian’s sole and absolute discretion.

The term “original purchaser” as used in this limited warranty shall mean the person who bought the new Premier Groomer from Premier Equestrian.

Premier Equestrian’s obligation and or liability, under this limited warranty, of any product defect or claim for injury or damages is limited to repair or replacement of the product, or payment of the reasonable cost of repair or replacement of the part, in Premier Equestrian’s sole and absolute discretion. Warranty replacement parts or replacement groomers will be shipped during the limited warranty period by a standard shipping method at no charge to the original purchaser in the continental United States only. Any expedited shipping or other shipping method will be the sole responsibility and cost of the original purchaser.

The original purchaser is solely responsible for the proper performance of all reasonable and proper maintenance as well as for replacing all normally wearing parts at the original purchaser’s sole cost and expense.

In order to secure warranty service pursuant to this limited warranty, the original purchaser must: (a) report the defect immediately to Premier Equestrian’s customer service within the applicable warranty terms in writing and discontinue use of the Premier Groomer; (b) present photographic evidence (which may be digital) of the warranty claim and valid proof of purchase; and (3) return the Premier Groomer or defective part to Premier Equestrian within thirty (30) days of discovery of the defect. If for any reason Premier Equestrian is unable to repair the Premier Groomer to conform to the warranty after reasonable attempts, determined in Premier Equestrian’s sole and absolute discretion, Premier Equestrian will provide, at its option, one of the following: (1) a replacement Premier Groomer, or (2) a full refund of the of the purchase price after the defective Premier Groomer is returned to Premier Equestrian. REPAIR, REPLACEMENT, or REFUNDS are the original purchaser’s EXCLUSIVE remedies against Premier Equestrian under the limited warranty.

PREMIER EQUESTRIAN IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING: (a) equipment that is purchase used; (b) any equipment that has been altered or modified in ways not approved by Premier Equestrian, including, without limitation, unauthorized repairs or acts of God;(c) depreciation or damage caused by normal wear, lack of reasonable and proper maintenance, failure to follow operatinginstructions/recommendations as set forth in the Premier Groomer operating manual, misuse, abuse, lack of proper protection during storage, damage caused by use, vandalism, the elements, collision or accident; and (d) normal replacement, maintenance, and/or service of parts. Periodic replacement of normally wearing parts is the sole responsibility of the original purchaser.

To the fullest extent permitted by law the limited warranty stated herein is the exclusive warranty given by Premier Equestrian to the original purchaser, and Premier Equestrian disclaims any other warranties. There are no other warranties, either express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or arising from the course of dealing or trade usage. Premier Equestrian shall not be liable in any event for incidental or consequential or other special damages under any theory of strict liability or negligent, or expenses of any kind, including, but not limited to, personal injury, damage to property, cost of equipment rentals, loss of profit, or cost of hiring services to perform tasks normally performed by a Premier Groomer. Premier Equestrian reserves the right to make improvements in design or changes in specifications at any time, without incurring any obligation to owners of units previously sold.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation on the duration of an implied warranty or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, thus the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you. You may have other rights which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction in addition to the legal rights set forth in this limited warranty.

3-Point Swivel HitchThe 3-Point Swivel Hitch lets the groomer track and swivel behind the tractor, helping to eliminate sand piling into the corners.

Turnbuckles: Raise and lower tine setsEasy height adjustment for S-Tines and Coil Tines.

S-Tines: For digging and mixing

• Two rows of S-Tines have adjustable depth and can be rotated 45 degrees, forward or back.

• Position the S-Tines forward to dig compacted soils, or for lifting, mixing and blending the arena surface.

• Position the S-Tines back to fluff and level the arena surface. This position is also advised to protect base mats or separation layer cloths.

Coil Tines: Create a vibrating action

• Two rows of Coil Tines have adjustable depth and can be rotated 45 degrees in the forward or back position.

• Position the Coil Tines forward for blending the arena surface.

• Position the Coil Tines to angle back to smooth, finish, and fill in grooves from S-tines. This position will also press and pack down surface.

Smoothing Bar: Leveling and additional compaction

• The Smoothing Bar can be rotated 45 degrees, allowing you to change the angle of the plate.

• The Smoothing bar has adjustable depth. Set the depth to affect the compaction of the surface.

WARNING: Before attaching to tractor or grooming, check all bolts, lock collars, and bearings. These canvibrate loose from transport and usage. Check after receiving your groomer. Also check the first 10 hours ofuse and every 40 hours of after that.

PREMIER PRO GROOMER


RECEIVING YOUR NEW GROOMER

Your Premier Pro Groomer will be delivered by a freight truck. The trucking company will call you to schedule an appointment for delivery.

The truck will need access to your property and a place to turn around. When speaking to the trucking company, talk to them about the

size of the truck and how to get in and out of your property.

Our groomers are shipped on a pallet with a freight truck that includes a lift gate for offloading. The 7’ and 8’ Groomers may be too large in

some cases for the lift gate. If the groomer is too large for the lift gate you will need a forklift (or equivalent) to offload your groomer.

Your equipment used for offloading will need to lift at least 1,500 lbs.

Make sure S-Tines, Coil Tines, and Smoothing Bar are adjusted so they don’t catchon the pallet. See pages 10 & 11 on how to make these adjustments.

NOTICE: Before moving the groomer off the pallet,

make sure the S-Tines and Coil Tines are positioned

up and back, and the Smoothing Bar is positioned up

so that they don’t catch on the pallet.

See pages 10 and 11 on how to make these

adjustments.


CONNECTING THE GROOMER TO YOUR TRACTOR – 3-POINT HITCH

Your tractor must possess at least 40hp to pull the Premier Pro

Groomer. Refer to the tractor user’s manual to connect your

groomer to the 3-point hitch.

Remove all shipping straps and lift the groomer with the 3-point

hitch, or carefully roll the groomer off the pallet.

GROOMER SETTINGS

3-Point Swivel Hitch and Transport Lock PinThe Premier Pro Groomer features a swivel hitch with a red TRANSPORT LOCK PIN. The TRANSPORT LOCK PIN is only locked when

transporting your groomer to keep the hitch from swiveling.

When transporting your groomer into or out of your arena, assure the TRANSPORT LOCK PIN is in place.

When grooming your arena, unlock the TRANSPORT LOCK PIN so the groomer can swivel.

GROOMER SETTINGS

Tine Angle – Rotate S-Tines and Coil TinesRemove the pin on the tilt arm. Adjust the handle forward and backward to get the desired angle of the Tine Set. Replace the pin to lock in place.

Tine Depth – Raise and lower S-Tines and Coil TinesThe silver turnbuckles allow you to raise and lower the tine sets. Rotate the turnbuckle to raise and lower the tines. Use the lock on theturnbuckle to hold the position when you have achieved the desired depth.

WARNING: Adjust the tines in small increments to prevent going too deep. If the ground is hard, move tines down in stagesas you groom. Grooming hard packed ground with the tines too deep will damage your groomer.

Same adjustments apply for theCoil Tines. Replace pin to lock.

Smoothing Bar - Raise and Lower

Remove the pin on the handle at the back of the groomer. Lift or lower the Smoothing Bar handle to get the desired position. If too much

material is being carried under the blade raise the blade up a little.

Pull the pin on the tilt handle at the right rear of the groomer. Adjust the handle to the desired angle and reinstall the pin. More angle will

drag more material, and less angle will push more material down to the ground, aiding in compacting.

ARENA GROOMING MAINTENANCE

WATERINGWatering your arena surface will make a huge difference in performance anddust control. The intermolecular attraction formed between watermolecules holds wet sand together, stabilizing particles that would roll if dry.Water also plays a roll in absorbing and slowing down the concussive energyof pounding hooves. Water maintains its consistency from 32 degrees to 165degrees fahrenheit.

We recommend water over polymers and wax coatings, as these types ofcoatings don’t have the same molecular bond that water has. Polymer andwax molecules actually have a repelling action. They can become wedged inyour horses feet creating a snowball effect, offsetting the balance of thehoof. These types of coatings are very inconsistent in temperature variation.They are stiff and clumpy in cold temperatures and have a lower meltingpoint in high temperatures causing them to leave residue on clothes, shoes,and your horse.

Grooming and maintenance are key factors in achieving quality arena footing. Grooming enables you to maintain a

consistent riding surface for your equine athlete, avoid footing irregularities, and condition your sand and footing

additives. Regularly mixing and leveling footing prevents problems. A professional-type groomer can overturn and

redistribute the varying sand particle sizes and keep additives mixed thoroughly. Footing which has migrated out to

the edges of the arena will need to be pulled back in.

WARNING: Improper use of your S-Tines will destroy your arena base. Always check the depth of the tinesbefore grooming. Maintain at least ½” above your base to prevent damage to the base.

Mixing footing additives • Mixing and blending: Set S-Tines in the back position. Start at a 1” depth. As footing material mixes in, lower the tine depth for consistent

blending. This will blend the sand and textile. Once the footing material is blended, raise the S-Tines and set in the forward position. Depth

should be about 1”.

• Lifting and Mixing: Set the S-Tines and Coil Tines in the forward position to lift and mix, helping to draw lower soils up.

• Filling Holes, Breaking Clods: Set the S-Tines to forward position and set the Coil tines to the back position.

• Fill in Gaps and Compact surface: Set Coil Tines in back position. Raise S-tines off the surface.

• Daily arena maintenance settings: Set S-Tines in back or middle position at ½” – 1” depth. Set Coil Tines in back position

at 1⁄2” – 1” depth. This setting will encourage compacting of the mid-base, enhancing stability.

GENERAL GROOMING TECHNIQUES AND SETTINGS


MAINTENANCE & UPKEEP FOR THE PREMIER MINI PRO GROOMER

S-Tine chisel points• Rotate the S-Tine chisel points when there is evidence of wear. Simply flip each point around

for a clean edge.

• Replace chisel points when both side have been used and are worn.

• Coil Tines will need to be replaced when worn or if they are bent.

Grease the swivel hitch every 10 hrs. of usage Grease bearings every 40 hrs. of usage

Greasing• Swivel Hitch: grease every 10 hours of usage.

Use one – two pumps to push out dirty grease. This will help to keep swivel from wearing.

• Bearings: once a week, or every 40 hours. Use one – two pumps to push out dirty grease.

Dientes tipo S: Para excavar y mezclar.• Los Dientes tipo S se pueden girar 45 grados, adelante o

atrás. Las dos hileras de dientes tipo S tienen profundidad

ajustable.

• Gire los Dientes tipo S verticalmente para cavar suelos

compactados. Utilice este ajuste para levantar, mezclar y

combinar la superficie de la arena.

• Gire los Dientes tipo S horizontalmente a la pelusa y nivele la

superficie de la arena. Esta posición también se recomienda

para proteger las esteras de base o las membranas de las

capas de separación.

Dientes Helicoidales: Crean una acción vibrante.• Los dientes helicoidales se pueden girar 45 grados, adelante

o atrás. Las dos hileras de dientes helicoidales tienen

profundidad ajustable.

• Gire los dientes helicoidales verticalmente para mezclar la

ADVERTENCIA: Antes de enganchar su Rastra a un tractor, compruebe todos los pernos, cuellos y cojinetes. Las piezaspueden vibrar y soltarse en el transporte y el uso. Compruebe todos los pernos después de recibir su rastra, después de lasprimeras 10 horas de uso y cada 40 horas después de usarla.



RECIBIENDO SU NUEVA RASTRASu Rastra Premier Pro se entrega por un camión de carga. La compañía de camiones le llamará para programar una cita para la entrega. Elcamión necesitará acceso a su propiedad y un lugar para dar la vuelta. Cuando hable con la empresa de camiones, hable con ellos sobre eltamaño del camión y cómo entrar y salir de su propiedad.

Nuestras rastras se envían en un palé en un camión de carga que incluye una puerta de la elevación para el descargue. Las Rastras de 7 'y 8'pueden ser demasiado grandes en algunos casos para la puerta del elevador. Si la rastra es demasiado grande para la puerta del elevador, ustednecesitará una carretilla elevadora (o su equivalente) para descargar su rastra.

CONECTANDO LA RASTRA A SUTRACTOR – ENGANCHE DE TRESPUNTOSSu tractor debe poseer al menos 40 caballos de fuerza para tirarde la Rastra Premier Pro. Consulte el manual del usuario deltractor para conectar su rastra al enganche de tres puntos.

AJUSTES DE LA RASTRA

Profundidad de los dientes - Suba y baje los Dientes tipo S y los Dientes helicoidales.Los tensores de plata le permiten subir y bajar los conjuntos de dientes. Gire el tensor para mover los dientes hacia arriba o hacia abajo.

Advertencia: Ajuste los dientes en pequeños incrementos para evitar que se vaya demasiado profundo. Si el suelo es duro, mueva laspuntas hacia abajo en etapas mientras que usted prepara. Preparar terreno fuertemente compactado con los dientes demasiado

profundos dañará su rastra. Utilice el seguro del tensor para mantener la posición cuando haya alcanzado la profundidad deseada.

MANTENIMIENTO GENERAL DE LA PISTA, TÉCNICAS Y AJUSTES

ADVERTENCIA: El uso incorrecto de sus Dientes tipo S destruirá su base de arena. Siempre compruebe la profundidad de los

dientes antes de la preparación, usted querrá mantener por lo menos ½" por encima de su base para evitar daños a la base.

Cómo mezclar aditivos para cimentación • Mezcla e incorporación: Coloque los dientes del tipo S hacia atrás. Comience a 1" de profundidad. Mientras el material de cimentación

se mezcla, reduzca la profundidad de la púa para una incorporación pareja. Esto incorporará la arena y el tejido. Una vez incorporado

el material de cimentación, levante los dientes tipo S y los dientes helicoidales en posición delantera. La profundidad debe ser de

alrededor de 1".

• Levantar y mezclar: Coloque los dientes tipo S y los dientes helicoidales en posición delantera para levantar y mezclar, y así ayudar a

subir la tierra más baja.

• Llenar agujeros, romper terrones: Coloque los dientes tipo S en posición delantera y los dientes helicoidales posicionados espalda.

• Rellenar pozos y compactar la superficie: Coloque los dientes helicoidales en posición hacia atrás. Levante los dientes tipo S hasta que

no toquen la superficie.

• Ajuste para el mantenimiento diario de pistas: Coloque los dientes tipo S en posición hacia atrás o en el medio, con una profundidad de

1/2" a 1". Coloque los dientes helicoidales en posición hacia atrás, con una profundidad de 1/2" a 1". Este ajuste alentará la compresión de

la base media, mejorando así la estabilidad.

RIEGORegar la superficie de la pista marcará una gran diferencia en el rendimientoy el control del polvo. La atracción intermolecular que se forma entre lasmoléculas de agua mantiene unida la arena húmeda, estabilizando laspartículas que circularían si estuviesen secas. El riego también tiene unpapel importante en absorber y desacelerar la energía violenta de cascosque golpean. El agua mantiene su consistencia desde los 32 grados hasta los165 grados Fahrenheit.

Recomendamos regar sobre polímeros y recubrimientos de cera, ya que estetipo de capas no tienen la misma adherencia molecular que el agua. Lasmoléculas de polímeros y cera en realidad tienen una acción repelente.Pueden enclavarse en las patas de los caballos, creando un efecto bola denieve, contrarrestando el equilibrio del casco. Estos tipos de recubrimientosson muy volubles ante la variación de temperatura. Son rígidos y grumososen temperaturas frías, y tienen un punto de fusión más bajo en temperaturasaltas, lo cual provoca que dejen residuos en la ropa, el calzado y el caballo.

están doblados.
