“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being involved in MFC Foundation and Premier League Kicks. I’ve witnessed some outstanding youngsters develop and take full advantage of the opportunities. The hardships felt on Teesside, this year especially, have brought the community closer. I feel proud and honoured to be part of that, as someone who has been warmly welcomed into the area.”

PL KICKS PARTICIPANTS“Kicks has been one of the best sport sessions I have ever done. I have been going for 2 years now and I really enjoy it.” - Adam“Kicks helps us keep fit and healthy” - Nathan“I like Kicks because it gives us something to look forward to and do on a night, and it keeps us out of trouble” - Dylan“Kicks is a great way to meet new people and makes us feel like part of a community” - Austin

“When I first attended Kicks, I was just interested in playing football, but we eventually did much more - like dodgeball, head tennis and futsal. Kicks gave me opportunities to play sport and develop skills for free, and now I’ve progressed to becoming an ambassador, where I can help lead the sessions and help other young people enjoy the same benefits I did.”

“As a coach on the PL kicks programme, it is really rewarding to see so many young people make new friends from across the community, as well as creating friendships whilst engaging in different sports and gaining and improving social skills and confidence.”

“Thanks to Cleveland PCC, the Kicks programme has grown dramatically, and has exceeded all of its growth targets. The sessions are inclusive, diverse and ultimately give participants something they enjoy doing as we work with them to have a positive impact on the community. We’re now going above and beyond what we have already achieved to raise aspirations on Teesside.”
