AimFor the 8th edition, this twin site live educational course will be focusedon the role of LH in controlled ovarian stimulation, recurrentimplantation failure, SET (single embryo transfer) and new laboratorytechniques and equipment for optimising IVF procedures. Theprogramme is designed to allow for sharing different experiences andaddress controversial topics and “burning” questions in scientific andclinical topics that will be discussed during interactive sessions using avoting system. Each lecture is followed by specific case studies inworking groups which will provide participants with both up-to-dateknowledge and the opportunity to share their experiences with eachother and with speakers. During the working groups, participants willpropose specific take-home messages for each topic which will becompared and discussed during the plenary. A video session will also beused to bring the Madrid and Valencia participants together in thesediscussions.

Learning objectivesBy attending this live educational course, learners will be able to:• Identify current evidence-based recommendation to achieve the bestmanagement of LH supplementation in stimulation protocols

• Learn the best embryo selection technique • Understand the importance of luteal phase support and treatmentpossibilities

• Explore current tools in male infertility diagnosis and management• Manage recurrent implantation failure

Target audienceThis live educational course is designed for a small group of youngclinicians working in assisted reproductive medicine who want to acquireup-to-date information for improving their current clinical practice.

FormatThis twin site event will run simultaneously in real time between the twoIVI Clinics of Madrid and Valencia. Participants will enjoy presentationsfrom faculty members in person and via satellite link from the othercentre. The faculty, composed of international assisted medicineexperts, will be divided among the two venues. The advantages of thetwin site event are the opportunity for shared debate between a largernumber of young clinicians than would have been possible at a singlesite.

Take a look at the reproductive medicinesection of the EXCEMED website

Infertility issues have been significant in developed countries for sometime and are now becoming relevant across much of the world. Besidesbeing a challenging medical problem, infertility can also have profoundpsychological effects. Infertility also has ethical, social and economicimplications, which have generated heated debates among experts.Reproductive health, the branch of medicine concerned with infertilitytreatments is continually exploring new techniques to address theproblem. Healthcare professionals working in this field need access toregular updates and training. EXCEMED realized the importance ofdeveloping medical education in this area at an early stage and pioneeredthe first symposium in reproductive medicine more than 30 years ago. From this beginning to the present day, EXCEMED has offered high-leveleducational events, ranging from training for young specialists to updatingscientists on advanced areas of research. Our mission is to provide qualitymedical education such as we offer, available worldwide.
