Project Profile

1. Automotive Infotainment

Role: Senior Automation Test Engineer

Duration: Dec 2015- Till date

Client: VISTEON Corporation

Project Description:

The client is a leading global provider of premium audio and infotainment solutions, in cars. The

testing activity includes- System testing, Integration testing, Requirement testing, Sanity Testing

and Regression Testing for various modules supported in infotainment system like Bluetooth,

Multimedia, VR, Tuner, vehicle setting, Diagnostics and Navigation. Scope of the project

involves testing with different version of customer builds, Reproduction of Issues, Defect

verification and Automation testing for Regression, Stress and Sanity.

Responsibilities:

Requirement Analysis and understanding of the requirements.

Development and execution of automation scripts using Python for testing Infotainments: Diagnostics, Navigation, Settings, MAP and other GUI activities like Home Button press, talk button press etc.

Manual testing of the various modules like – Bluetooth, Settings, Navigation and Diagnostics.

Develop, maintain and execute the automation testing framework- Auto test module, for stress testing which is built in Python. Development involves building Python modules for new features and also modification/inclusion of code to the existing libraries/Python modules.

Created Sanity Test Cases and executed testing of the same using CANoe tool and vehicle testing. Defects found are logged in IBM-RTC.

Reproducing defects logged in IBM-RTC.

2. Network and System Management Product

Role: Automation QA Engineer and Module Lead

Duration: Jan 2013 to May 2014

Client: Hewlett- Packard

Project Description:

The Network and System management product helps monitor a system by collecting metrics that indicate the health, performance, and availability of essential elements of the system. Testing activity involves the complete testing of the product, manually, on the supported platforms and Platform refresh activity. Automation testing involves execution of a suite built using Perl and UNIX Shell scripting languages, to collect and compare the vital metrics of the system. Also, Java based automation frameworks built using XML-script, Perl and UNIX shell scripting are executed for build acceptance and regression testing.

Responsibilities:

Manual testing of the product/module.

Platform refresh activity, which includes testing of the product in Cluster environment

like MC/SG, RHAS, Sun Cluster, VCS and also in Virtualization environment like Hyper-V,

XEN, KVM, HP-VM, Solaris Zones, AIX LPAR, AIX WPAR, vMA and in new versions of all

UNIX, Linux and Windows flavors/OS.

Execution and enhancement of the Test Automation suite built for collection of metrics,

using Perl and Shell scripting. Analysis of the reports generated.

Execution and report analysis of the Test Automation suite for build acceptance and

regression testing.

As a module lead, guided and encouraged the team members to qualitatively

accomplish the project goals in time.

Analyze the user requirements by interacting with system architect and developers.

Determine the Test-Project scope for a particular release based on the customer

requirements provided.

Preparation of Master Test plan and have it approved by Customer and Management.

OVII is a packaging tool used to stage files, build native packages and to build application installers. The Test Automation suite is the Infrastructure to test the complete functionality of OVII tool. The Test Automation suite has been built using Perl language.
