I changed my font to masthead 2 because I felt it was more modernised whereas the font used on ‘sense’ in masthead 1 was slightly old fashioned. The font in masthead 2 looks more modern because of it’s rounded edges, it’s nicer on the eye for the adolescent target audience to look at. The thick edges of the word ‘sixth’ also make it stand out. The ‘THS’ school logo is more effective when it’s of higher opacity as it stands out clearer making it more noticeable for the audience to recognise it’s their schools logo.

I changed the font and wording of the main cover line, I felt I should reduce the amount of words so it’s more catchy to read and will interest the reader as to the full story. I changed the font to a clearer font so it’s easier to read.

The layering of images is also altered to make the largest image more visible as it’s the most important.

To keep the background image visible I lowered the opacity of the text box background by using the opacity tool.

I used different coloured fonts to make information stand out such as the email address so people will more likely get in touch with the editor, and also ‘iPad !’ is in yellow because it’s a bright contrasting colour to the rest of the page making it stand out thus exciting the audience about the chance to win something.

I used a font that looks like handwriting on ‘talia x’ to make it personal as if the editor has written a note to all the readers and she’s personally signed it with an ‘x’ so show friendliness with her readers so they can relate to her.
