pre-defence
DESCRIPTION
There are different types of Pre-Defences. In Aalborg is a voluntary event that some people do after delivering the thesis as a rehearsal of the presentation, others do it 1 or 2 months before delivering the thesis. I have done the latter. It was very good and 15 people from different fields participated. I asked them to read different sections of my first draft. I was pleased.TRANSCRIPT

Does the concept of the experience economy improve the entrepreneurial dynamics and local economic development (of a city like Frederikshavn)?
How does a rural environment affect entrepreneurial dynamics?
How can a struggling place in a populated city region (like Vallejo in the San Francisco Bay Area) improve its entrepreneurial dynamics?

Some findings (art. nu.) Cultural activities may foster entrepreneurial
dynamics (1) Cultural policy, tourism investments, ‘creative
class’, could be OK… but not TEE (2) Entrepreneurs are very similar regardless of
being in an urban/rural area in Denmark. Creativity and social networks matter, but not key(3)
City Region Innovation System Promotion (4)

Entrepreneurship in a broad sense Sometimes entrepreneurs change the socioeconomic
status quo, usually for the better They are not necessarily motivated by economic profit, Entrepreneurs are sometimes inventors Often entrepreneurs are not an individual, but resemble
a network. It is not uncommon for them to be employed in big
companies Entrepreneurs can be in the public sector
