Advent Announcements
Thoughts from Your Senior Warden Being the Senior Warden for just two weeks has given me much more of
an appreciation for the incredible job my predecessor (Nancy Junk) has
done. This is so much more prominent with the absence of a permanent
Rector. The good news is that two Rectors have already submitted their
request for consideration and several more are inquiring about our
position. Even though the end date for submissions by prospective
Rectors is the last of February, the diocese feels confident that we will
have sufficient applicants by then to make the right selection.
Attendance at, and income from, Jazz in the Sanctuary has been steadily
going up. Our hope is that this will lead to increased attendance and
eventually membership in our congregation. The next performance is on
February 11, 2019 starting at 7 pm. Please attend and invite others.
Our annual art showcase: 2019 Art at Advent, is scheduled for February
16, 2019. Hours are from 2 pm to 6 pm. It is a great opportunity for
artists from within our church, as well as local artists to show their craft.
It can also be a pleasant way to spend the afternoon looking at the works
of some very talented people.
Sunday School for the month of February will be on the 3rd and the 17th.
We have several members of our congregation who really need our
prayers for comfort and healing in this difficult time for them. Please
take the time to pray for our congregation.

Al Ragl

LAHIA Sandwich Volunteers Needed Do you have some free time and are looking for
a worthwhile way to serve on a local mission
outreach program? Then the Mission &
Outreach Ministry Team would love to speak
with you. They are currently looking for three
more volunteers to help in our LAHIA Sandwich
Program. Each volunteer makes 5 or 10
sandwiches every other month that are delivered
to LAHIA on the 2nd and 4th Monday to help feed
the homeless and needy families in our local
community. If this sounds like something you
might enjoy doing, please pray about it and
contact Debra Lammie at 772-288-4491 for more
details.
