Whether you are a first-time guest or have been gathering with us for some time, we are glad you are with us today. We are a family of Jesus-followers who gather each week to worship God and scatter each week to reflect God. Thanks so much for worshipping with us. Please join us in reflecting God throughout the week.

Please complete a blue guest card from the back of the worship center seats and place it in the offering tray as it passes you. We would love to be able to contact you to say hello. If you would like to know more about being a Jesus-follower, being baptized, or becoming a part of Lafayette, you are invited to meet with those in the prayer room just after the sermon. Turn left as you exit the back of the worship center, the prayer room is on the right just past the kitchen.

1 The Mission Goods and Fair Trade Boutique will be Saturday, November 14 from 9:00am to 4:00pm in the foyer. Wanting a unique Christmas gift, home decoration or accessory and an opportunity to help international ministry? Fun and unique handmade goods from Africa and other mission efforts around the globe will be for sale! These will include baskets, Christmas ornaments, table runners, jewelry, batiks, sculptures, purses, artwork and more, with proceeds going to support Dawn Malcolm's ministry and the Lighting the Path international mission efforts. The boutique will re-open on Sunday, November 15 from 11:30am-1:00pm.

2 Community Interaction Angel Tree Interacting with people in our neighborhood is important to Lafayette. This year we will again be working with counselors at Selvidge Middle School, Ballwin Elementary, and Woerther Elementary to provide Christmas gifts to needy students and their families. Take an angel from our Christmas tree beginning November 15 and provide a needed gift. Sally Blackburn is again leading this community interaction ministry effort.

3 International Missions meeting If you are interested in helping our congregation spread the gospel internationally please plan on attending an informational meeting on November 15 immediately following Bible class. We’d like to hear your ideas and enlist your help in this effort. See Rusty Andrews for more information.

There are evil people who mean to hurt others, but I’m convinced that most all people, most all of the time, mean well. Most all people, most all of the time mean no harm to others, including me. No matter how hurtful they may be, I believe they mean well. No matter how wrong they may be, I assume their good intentions. Compassion and grace call me to stop demonizing and give people the benefit of the doubt, that they mean well. —Bob Clark
