PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

* Joined Coal India Limited as Executive Trainee (Marketing) and rose to Director(Marketing), CIL in Feb'2O16.

* Successfully carried out also the additional responsibilities of Director (personnel &IR), and Director (Finance), Coal India Ltd., besides being the Govt. nominatedDirector in CIL's five Coal Producing Subsidiaries namely NCL, MCL, SECL, WCL &ECL.

* Successfully implemented the plans & policies of Govt. of India towards providingEnergr Security to Nation, by following best practices from Mines to Market.

* During 2018-19, Coal Production & Despatches from CIL crossed 600 MMT mark,Gross Revenue crossed Rs.1,40,000 crores., sales tealization/tonne on coaldespatched increase to Rs.7529 in201.8-19 from Rs.139B of 2017-18 & Cost of coalProduction decreased to Rs.7276 per tonne in 2018-19 from Rs.1371 per tonne of201,7-lB.

:i'Undertook major initiative for achieving transparency in business and Consumers,Confidence Building through path-breaking Initiatives like re-gradation of sources ofsupplies of coal and extension of Third Party Sampling facility to all the clientele ofCIL.

'!' To infuse transparency in operations and monitoring of depatch & quality through ITinitiatives, Portals/ Apps such as 'urrAM', cAMps, SEVA were launched.

'!'System of granting of linkages for Coal to both Power and Non Regulated Sectorconsumers was revamped by introducing transparent schemes of e-Auction oflinkages.

'l'39 Power Plants having 29,IOO MW capacit5r secured linkages for lO2 MTY coal &became distressed. Further, 80 MTY of Coal linkages secured by Non-regulated Sectorconsumers. It helped in employment generation, relief to the lenders (Banks) andinvestors besides adding energ/ security for the Nation & Import substitution of Coal.

'l'To reduce landed cost of coal and making power generation cheaper for the Nation,tationaTized linkages for 33 MTPA with savings in transportation and logistic cost byover Rs.2,900 crores per annum.

* During my tenure as Director {Financel,ClL in the year 2O18-79, CIL registered arecord Profit After Tax of Rs. L7,463 crores as against Rs.7O38 cores in 2017-18. Al1the subsidiary Companies of CIL made a turnaround into Profit making Companiesthrough savings / Reduced cost of Production (like staggered Sunday deployment,closing unviable mines, gainful redeployment of manpower, hedging of POL (Diesel)price) procurements & services (coal transport, Coal/OB Mining) through Reverseauction process, Rationalisation of grade-wise prices of coal & ramping up productionfrom identified low cost mines.

'l'During my tenure as Director (Personnel & IRl, CIL in 2OL7-78, large scalepromotions to CIL Employees which were overdue for over a decade was ensuredboosting their morale and career prospects. Recruitment of fresh Executives wascontinued, besides formulation of succession plans.

'!' Initiated the concept and tJre process of implementation of first mile connectivity withthe objective of elimination of road transportation from large mines to loading pointsto address environment concerns, savings of Pol/Import of PoL & faster movement ofcoal through Rapid Loading System, thereby better turn-around of Railway wagons.

* Expertise in developing Bulk movement - logistic infrastructure with efficientmanagement of Coal to Power supply chain.

'l'Infrastructural development by early commissioning of over-delayed major Railwayinfrastructure projects viz. Tori-Shivpur in CCL, Jharsuguda-Barpali-Sardega inMCL, Kharsia-Korichhapar in SECL Rail line were commissioned unlockingevacuation of about 200 MTY Coal through environment friendly Rail mode
