The National Security Authority invites you to the FUTURE CRISES conference. We will present basic concepts of the new cyber-security strategy of the Czech Republic; you will have an opportunity to get acquainted with the role of the new National Cyber-Security Centre and with the overall state of cyber-security in the Czech Republic. Dušan Navrátil, director of the National Security Authority
An overwhelming majority of sensitive or confidential data is presently stored in databases of information systems. It is thus quite clear what the attacks the purpose of which is to acquire this data will target. Still, most organizations keep focused on protecting applications, not realizing the need to protect the databases themselves. The LiveHacking demonstration using the Oracle 11g database will give you an idea of how errors in the internal database logic can be exploited and how minimal access rights can be used to obtain the administrator’s rights and thus access to all information stored in the database. In addition to the standard security patching process, which is often inadequate and lengthy, we will also outline how simulated vulnerabilities can be taken care of in other ways. Speakers: Michal Lukanič, Oracle DB Specialist SefiraJan Strnad, Presales Engineer McAfee, IntelAlena Reznickova Territory Channel Account Manager Czech and Slovak Republik
Safety and protection of its population is a top-priority task of every gov-ernment and state. A high-quality system for educating and training armed forces and preparing the population for safeguarding the state’s security is an indispensable part of the above task and its performance. The Future Crises 2014 Conference represents a convenient platform for a professional discussion of current aspects of the security environment and we cordially invite you to it.
Associate Professor Colonel Ing. Vladan HOLCNER, Ph.D.Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management University of Defence
An exchange of information on current security threats and technological trends is an integral part of any meeting of experts in these fields. The area of cyber-security requires cooperation, trust and the exchange of information men-tioned above. I would thus like to invite you to a meeting of security experts from across the globe – FUTURE CRISES. Associate Professor Josef Požár, Dean of Faculty of Security Management, Police Academy of the Czech Republic, Prague
The well-known dependencies on water, food and energies are gradually complemented and replaced by dependencies on technologies and functioning of the cybernetic world. However, it is not just us, i.e. individuals or legal entities, that become dependent; it is also our entire way of life and our economic and social values. This is why representatives of the society must discuss and determine the borderline between individual freedoms and the need to protect the whole society’s interests and values. A compromise and a solution of risks resulting from asymmetric cybernetic threats are being sought. The meeting of security experts from the whole world at the Future Crises 2014 Conference is a platform where the compromise will also be looked for. Come to look with us.
