Strategy of Together means the City’s strategy to

reverse the effects of apartheid through the

implementation of TOD in Integrated Transport and

Urban Development so as to bring about the social,

economic and spatial transformation of the City.

The City needs to think out of the box in terms of its

Strategy so as to reverse the effects of apartheid.

There is a need for TDA to ensure that the focus is on

achieving:

1. AMENDMENT OF LEGISLATIVE AND POLICY PARAMETERS

Amendments to Municipal Planning By-Law:

• Scheduled Public Transport Accessibility Overlay Zone

• To enhance development rights in close proximity to high

order/scheduled public transport

• The inclusion of a “third dwelling” as an additional use right in the

following zoning categories:

• Single Residential Zoning 1: Conventional Housing (SR 1); and

• Single Residential Zoning 2: Incremental Housing (SR2):

• The removal of the land use “sale of alcoholic beverages” as a

use throughout MPBL

• Administrative efficiencies
