THE COURSEThe Peachtree City Classic is unique in its use of paved cartpaths for the race. This scenic race is run mostly on thepaths through green belt areas, by lakes, through smalltunnels, in the beautiful planned community of PeachtreeCity. The course was voted the Best Course by GeorgiaAthlete Magazine and is always a sellout, so register early.

RACE EXPOA Race Day Expo will be held both Friday night Oct. 19thfrom 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday morning from 7:00-11:00 am. at the Frederick Brown Amphitheater. The Expowill include health and fitness products, sponsors, andselected vendors.

WALKERSFitness walkers are welcome in the Men’s and Women’s5K events. Race course will close at 11:15 A.M. to allowroads to open .

PACKET PICK-UPAll local runners must pick up their race packets on Fridaynight between 4:30 and 8:30 at The Frederick BrownAmpitheater, Peachtree City. For directions see our website at www.ptcrc.com. Packets for non-local runners willbe available Saturday morning in the parking lot of theFrederick Brown Ampitheater prior to 7:45 am.

LOGISTICSAll races will start and finish near the Frederick BrownAmphitheater located off Peachtree Parkway on McIntoshTrail in Peachtree City. Directions are available on our website, www.ptcrc.com.

TIMINGAll participants in the Peachtree City Classic will receivethe ChronoTrack “D” Race Timing Tag. The “D” tag comesattached to your race number and will need to beremoved and attached to your running shoe on race day.Further instructions are available when you pick up yourpacket. As you cross the electronic mats at the start andfinish lines, the timing tag emits a unique signal that allowsthe system to identify you and calculate your finish time.You must be wearing your timing chip on your shoe cor-rectly to receive a race time. NO CHIP ON SHOE = NO TIME

RESTRICTIONSFor the safety of our participants, headphones, baby joggers, inline skates, bicycles, or dogs are not allowed on the course. No motorized vehicles/wheelchairs.

RUNNER’S BAGGAGE AREAVolunteers from Boy Scout Troop 79 will staff a secured area where runners may leave their personalbags during the race.
