Other criteria for word selection
a. English words that could already be part of the vernacular – like bus, station, market, cycle, shop, repair, phone, school, chair, table, balloon, watch, beach, etc., and
b. English words that are a part of the child’s day-to-day environment and experience, like mother, father, sister, brother, door, cow, cat, banana, house, mango, etc.,
