POPULATION AND CLIMATE The population of Greece is 10.964.020 The capital of Greece is Athens.

The climate in Greece is predominantlyMediterranean.However, due to the country's unique geography, Greecehas many local variations of climate.

To the west the climate is generally wetter and has some

maritime features.To the east it is generally drier and windier in summer. Thehighest peak is Mount Olympus at 9,570 feet (2,916.9 m)tall.

Greece has got many archaeological sites. One of

them is the Acropolis; it is the most beautiful andpopular monument in Greece. The Acropolis is inAthens.

Our village, Vathi, is a beautiful place where

around 2.500 people live.

We havent got tourists because our beach is

not clean. The sea is polluted because thefactories pollute it.

There are some shops, such as a supermarket,cafes and shops with many things.

Vathi has four big schools.
