Relationship between brothers and sisters

"The friendship that exists between siblings is similar to that which exists amongst peers."-Aristotle

Although it is somewhat difficult to achieve, siblings are capable of and should aspire to being friends. There exist siblings who are friends but there also exist siblings who are separated by rivalry, fights, and animosity. There are people who share more affectionate relationships with friends than with their own siblings.

The main problem between brothers and sisters is RIVALRY

WHAT PARENTS CAN DO?

First of all, parents should balance the responsibilities of the siblings.

Also, if one child has authority over another, he or she may use that dominance to achieve selfish ends, which only serves to worsen the sibling rivalry problems.

Next, parents should make sure to recognize siblings as individuals. Rather than comparing siblings' accomplishments, thus creating more intense rivalry and potential psychological damage in children who have a harder time achieving, parents should take care to treat each child as a separate person with his or her own unique, valuable skills.

The birth of a new sibling is usually an (or at least stressful) event in a formerly only-child's life. The older child often experiences this event as a sort of coup, an effort to move him or her out of the spotlight of his parents' doting attention and to grab a share of resources previously dedicated solely to the first-born.

What parents Not to do?

The parents should not care more about the younger child and the second child to think that he was forgoten in his family just because of his little brother or sister.

It's natural for kids' changing needs, anxieties, and identities to affect how they relate to one another. For example, toddlers are naturally protective of their toys and belongings, and are learning to assert their will, which they'll do at every turn. So if a baby brother or sister picks up the toddler's toy, the older child may react aggressively.

By middle adolescence teens will typically become closer to their older and younger siblings who are nearest to their own age. By late adolescence, sibling bonds will continue to strengthen, especially if siblings had previously enjoyed a loving relationship when they were younger. By late adolescence, siblings without a large age difference will often grow closer to each other because they share similar experiences, joys and stress.

Also are brothers and sisters who doesnt fight or have problems with each other since they are little.

Brothers can be older or younger, even if they are your twin.Older or younger, with a brother, you never seem to win.

A younger brother is noisy, peskyand nonstop wants to play,No matter what you do or where you go,he is always in your way.As a sister, don't have a problem witha boyfriend, especially one he doesn't like,His protective nature, will quickly tell that boyfriend to"Go take a hike."An older brother likes to pull rank, and show you whose boss. But in times of trouble,He will defend his younger siblings,no matter what the cost. What is a brother?
