The fir s t meeting of the Contra*to re * State License
Board of C alifo rn ia was called to order hy ill. Trillion G . Bo-
n e l l i , D irector of the Department of Profeesional end Vocational
Standards, at 10; JO A* U . t November 1 ^ , 1 935 , in the State O f
fice B uilding , Sacramento, C a lifo r n ia .
A ll members of the Board were present as follows;

The members of the Boarl discussed informally with Mr-
Bo m i n J iir. siatsr and Hr. Taylor the procedure of the Contractors*

License Bureau, the various forwa used by the Bureau, duties of the
Board members, sn3 general routine matters pertaining- to the opera-
tlon of the Bureau.

It was moved by Mr. Homann and secoiri ed by l£r. HcBulty
that Warren A. Bechtel be nominated for Chairman of the Board.
There being no further nominations, Itr, Beahtel was unanimously
elected Chairman of the Board.
It was moved by ilr. Ford and seconded by ¿[r. Niea that
Ralph E- Hoaann be nominated for Vice-Chairman of the Board. There
being no further nominations, lir. Homann was unanimously elected
Vice-Chairman of the Board.

At this time Mr. Bechtel tooi the chair and presided
over the meeting, and expressed his thanks and appreciation to the
Board,
It waa moved by Mr. Johnson and eeconded by Mr. Butcher
that a special committee be appointed to prepare, application forme
to be submitted for the approval of the Board at the next meeting
of the Board, and that the Registrar at Contractors be directed
meanwhile to withhold the issuance of a license to any applicant,
unlgaa the requirements of the new Contractors1 License Law of
California are fulfilled in all particulars. This motion was un
animously carried.
Thereupon, Chairman Bechtel appointed S. G. Johnson a
committee of one to prepare said application, forms for the approTal
cf the Board at Its next meeting.

The meeting was called to ordar at 2 :00 p . li. by Chair
man Bechtel. All members of the Board were present, and i£r. Bonelli,
i£r. Taylor, Hr. Slater and lir. Booe were also in attendance.

It was moved by lir. Homann and eeconded by Mr» UcZFulty

This motion was unanlaoualy carried, and the above men-

It was noyed by Ur. Nies and seconded by lir. F'Jid that
SiUlitl Bonelll be appointed as Registrar of Contractors to
f-unction as Executive Secretary of the Board and carry out all of
■t;he administrative d'Jtlea provided for in the eot creating the
Contracture1 License Lew, and as delegated to hl.n by the Board*
The compensation for said Registrar of Contractors shall be JUOO.OO
per month. This motion was unanimously carried.

It was moved by Mr. Hota&nn and seconded by Ur. Butcher
that the committees appointed he directed to proceed promptly with
the irorlc assigned to them, and if possible have their reports
reedy for the next meeting of the Board, and further that the coo-
mitteea teeep the Registrar and the Chairman informed as to their
progress. The usual expenses as provided by law shall be allowed
the coamittees while on offic ial business. This motion was un
animously carried.
At this tlae it became necessary that Chairman Beohtei
leave the meeting; therefore, lir- Hoaann, Yice^Chairman took: the chair-

the meeting be adjouraed r tor reconvene subject to call of the
Chairman* This motion was unanimously carried*
The meeting was adjourned at 5 :0 0 P , M-
