Here’s how my thinking went, essentially my selection criteria Tens of thousands – not big money but for many people, particularly the majority who live paycheck-to-paycheck, enough to make a big difference Less than pet insurance Just enough to land on your feet. So that means it doesn’t have the look and smell of conventional insurance. And that affects who should develop it.

So the approach I’m trying to take is to appeal to that mindset of hope and resilience, to make the difference between moving away and starting over somewhere else, or staying and toughing it out, with neighbors helping neighbors like in Christchurch.
