The Hanseatic city of Wismar will continue to play an important role as part of our global orientation. This is the site not only of our beginnings, but also of our proven functional modules for large engines, which will continue to be manufactured alongside our general technical developments. Our office in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg, in addition to the spare parts business, will more vigorously support shipping companies in their direct business through service offerings.The market for retrofitting of ballast water systems to be started up in the near future will also demonstrate our presence and innovation.

I look back fondly on the initial production steps completed back in 1997 in the Hanseatic city of Wismar. From the initial idea of setting up production for fuel modules, there arose the internationally recognized group of companies, as we know it today. In the process, we passed through development stages with ambitious and challenging objectives that were pursued consistently. This entailed product development, location decisions and dedicated employees in all corporate divisions. We are proud of the fact that employees who were there from the very start are still happy to be with us today.
Through our initial orientation toward the shipbuilding industry, we created the basis for further corporate development. This included, among other things, the formation of a Chinese subsidiary.
Global developments, such as the economic crisis of 2008 and 2009, brought new challenges, which we faced with flexible product policies as we continued to deve-lop our product in the direction of modular solutions for power plants.We were thus able to easily withstand the years of crisis, since our path was and still is characterized by market orientation, flexibility and quality consciousness.
Another important milestone in our company history was the formation of the sub-sidiary GenSys - Generation Systems Pte Ltd. (formerly pgs - power generation systems Pte Ltd.) in Singapore in mid-2012, and the associated development of energy containers based on our many years of acquired know-how. Terms such as fuel flexibility, decentralized systems, onshore and offshore best describe our market orientation. Alongside Singapore and China, Turkey will also play an important role as an addi-tional site. The Turkish company GenSys Ltd. was established in Istanbul in 2014.
With this move, we have now unified the sites in Germany, China, Turkey and Singapore under the name GenSys.

Fuel Logistic Independent Power
Deepwater oil field exploration and production always means logistic challenges. For example, the MDO storage for 14 days operation of a 1 MW diesel generator requires a logistic supply of 71 m3 every 2 weeks.In case of using crude oil for the offshore power generating system on the off-shore production platform or FPSO, the MPVS logistic services can be reduced by 5t/day.
Modular Containerized System
Power container and an auxiliary container for fuel treatment and supply, lube oil cleaning, starting air, cooling water components, sludge collecting, transfer system and table coolers (optional).The container interfaces are pre-defined for easy connection on board. Depending on the area classification, both containers could be installed beside of each with respect to safe or hazardous area.
