1 Overview
1.1 Version Positioning
PowerCube 1000 V300R005C01 is a series of reliable and economical hybrid power supply
solutions dedicated to the communications equipment at wireless sites. It applies to the
scenarios with unstable mains or frequent outages.
1.2 Solution Features
1. Outdoor integrated cost-effective grid hybrid solution: satisfying the requirements for
low-cost projects due to its cost-effectiveness, easy installation, and allowing for the
flexible configuration of full series of fast cycle batteries (FCBs)
2. Indoor integrated integrated controller and converter (ICC): satisfying the requirements
for low-cost projects due to its cost-effectiveness and easy installation
3. Non-intelligent component management: Non-intelligent components (such as batteries)
can be identified and remotely managed by using electronic labels or intelligent battery
detectors. Their status can also be monitored.
1.3 Composition The energy plant system (EPS) consists of the mains and reused diesel generator (DG)
and accepts solar energy.
The ICC consists of the alternating current distribution unit (ACDU), direct current
distribution unit (DCDU), power supply unit (PSU), and energy control center 500
(ECC500).
The energy storage system (ESS) contains energy storage unit-F series (ESU-F).
The cabinet with cooling system (CCS) comprises ICC500 series and ICC210 series.
The operations support system (OSS) is optional.

An integrated cabinet is used to occupy less floor area.
Description ESU-Fs can be charged and discharged 1500 times.
ESU-Fs are charged in 0.3C. The maximum charge current is 200 A.

Summary
A DCDU-300B1 supplies power to loads and supports two-level disconnection. It can connect
to 2 U x 2.5 U standard-efficiency and high-efficiency power supply units (PSUs) and
batteries.
Benefits
A DCDU-300B1 can connect to 2 U x 2.5 U standard-efficiency or high-efficiency PSUs to
reduce the CAPEX.
A DCDU-300B1 can connect to a reused power system to reduce the CAPEX.

conditioner to control temperatures.

In the areas with much sandy and windy weather and non-high temperatures in South-East
Asia, the energy control compartment uses heat exchangers, which contribute to a lower heat

urgently. Otherwise, the system may break down.
− Major alarm: indicates that a board or link in a certain area is faulty. The fault affects
the quality of service (QoS) of the system and must be handled in time. Otherwise,
services may run improperly.
− Minor alarm: indicates that a fault that may affect the QoS of the system is detected.
Maintenance personnel must locate the alarm cause and rectify the fault before the
QoS is affected.

unacknowledged. After an alarm is unacknowledged, its status changes to
Unacknowledged.
The NetEco records the operation time and the operator for the alarm acknowledgement and
unacknowledgement.
Manual alarm clearance
The NetEco allows users to manually clear specified alarms. After an alarm is cleared,
the NetEco changes the status of this alarm to Cleared on the NetEco. Use this function
to clear alarms that cannot be automatically cleared or alarms that users confirm to be
cleared.
Automatic alarm clearance
After the faults on the site energy and environment devices have been rectified, alarm
clearance alarms are reported to the NetEco. Then, the NetEco sets the status of the
corresponding alarms to Cleared.
Alarm clearance suggestions
Users can click the hyperlink in the alarm details window to get online help and rectify
faults based on alarm clearance suggestions and their OM experience.

operating status, alarms, real-time data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and inventory
data.
The NetEco displays the operating status of site devices and power supply relationships in
status diagrams.
The NetEco allows users to send manual control commands to site devices.
7.4.1.3 Benefits
Users can monitor the operating status of the network and key components conveniently. This
feature allows users to view the data of concerned KPIs in real time and detect problems in
time, and helps users quickly locate and solve problems.
For a hybrid power supply system, the NetEco provides simulated device icons for users to
view the relationships between subsystems and real-time operating status of key components
in the status diagram of a hybrid power supply system. It also allows users to view the data of
concerned KPIs in real time in this status diagram. This helps OM personnel view power
supply status of each subsystem efficiently, learn about system operating status in a timely
manner, and quickly locate problems.
7.4.1.4 Description
Real-time monitoring is classified into the following two levels:
Network-level real-time monitoring
− Displaying subnets and site in a navigation tree: Subnets and sites are displayed in the
left tree as icons. If users select a subnet node, the subnet summary is displayed in the
right pane. If users select a site, the site status diagram and data area are displayed in
the right pane. The data area includes an alarm list, real-time data, and the switch for
sending manual control commands from NetEco to site. Only detected sites are
displayed.
− Filtering sites: Click Status Filter to display status filter options, including all sites,
disconnected sites, monitored sites, unmonitored sites, and advanced settings. All
sites are selected by default. If users click Advanced, sites are filtered based on site
status (including all sites, disconnected sites, monitored sites, and unmonitored sites),
networking type (including IP, GPRS and in-band networking), and the type of site
power supply system.
Site information overview
The site information overview functions are as follows:
− Status monitoring: monitors the operating status of all site components to ensure that
the components are working properly.
− Real-time data monitoring: monitors the power, environment, and temperature control
system, and displays real-time data in a table after the monitoring has been started.
Users can select multiple real-time indicators to display the real-time line chart.
− Performance data display: queries the performance data of a site or component.
− Alarm monitoring: displays alarm information about energy and environment of
relevant sites and an alarm list in real time.

In the GIS window, users can navigate to the real-time monitoring, configuration management,

time when the NetEco is running.

View diesel generator status: Users can view the key information about all the managed
diesel generators, such as site name, diesel generator name, running status (whether a
diesel generator is running or not), diesel generator control mode, routine maintenance
status, and fuel consumption status. Users can query the information about diesel
generator status using the following default filter criteria:
− All diesel generators
− Diesel generators lack of fuel
− Diesel generators stopped
− Diesel generators to be maintained
View detailed information about the status of a single diesel generator: Users can view
the daily and total running duration of the diesel generator, remotely start and stop the
diesel generator, reset the controller for the diesel generator, and maintain the diesel
generator (the control mode of the controller must be switched to manual mode). The
routine maintenance information includes the latest maintenance time, maintenance
period, and cumulative running duration of the diesel generator from the latest
maintenance time.
Audit the refueling information about diesel generators: Users can query the refueling
time by site.
Check diesel generator SOH.
− Users can check the SOH of diesel generators, including the SOH of Boot System,
Cooling System, Lubricating System, Frequency Drop Steady Rate, Voltage
Steady Rate, and Frequency Strap Steady Rate. The SOH is classified into health,
subhealth, and abnormal.
− The NetEco provides the first maintenance reminder, routine maintenance reminder,
and timed maintenance reminder for users to maintain diesel generators in a timely
manner. When maintaining diesel generators, users can view the total diesel generator
runtime, average diesel generator daily runtime, last diesel generator maintenance
time, and cumulative diesel generator runtime since last maintenance.

Summary
The shared-site management feature serves as the module for telecom operators to measure
the power consumed by telecom operators. It manages basic information about telecom
operators and provides the function of viewing and collecting multiple telecom operators'
power-related information at a single shared site and all shared sites on the entire network.
Benefits
Users can manage a site shared by multiple telecom operators. This facilitates the
management of power-related information about each telecom operator and the allocation and
maintenance of power supply for multiple telecom operators.
Description
This feature allows users to:
Manage NetEco users bound with telecom operators: Users can add information about
telecom operators, create the corresponding NetEco users for logging in to the NetEco
system, and grant different rights to these users. Then, these users can view the daily,
weekly, monthly, and yearly power consumption reports for a single or all telecom
operators based on rights.
Manage electric meters for telecom operators: Users can configure electric meters for
telecom operators to measure the power consumed by each telecom operator's load. A
telecom operator can use one or more electric meters.
View reports on telecom operators' power consumption: Users can view reports on the
daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly power consumption for a single or all telecom
operators based on the rights of the users created for these telecom operators.
Power on or power off the load for a telecom operator: Users can view the power-on and
power-off status of a telecom operator's load, set the power-off voltage for the load,
determine whether to enable the remote power-off function, and power on or power off
the load for the telecom operator.

This feature allows users to distribute and manage the licenses of DieselMax II. With this
feature, users can:
Distribute (feature activation) and retrieve (feature deactivation) the licenses of
DieselMax II.
View the total number of DieselMax II licenses and the number of DieselMax II licenses
in use.
View the sites where the DieselMax II feature is activated and those where this feature is
deactivated.
