Power shunts>
PBC PPSBRAIDED POWER SHUNTS• Undrilled palms to customer's specific designs, fitted by power press• Extra-flexible power connections (expansion rings, busbar…)• Tinned electrolytic copper strand Ø 0,15 mm• When used in parallel, the 2 shunts must be spaced with a minimum distance
equal to the thickness of the shunt to allow air cooling
PRESSWELDED POWER SHUNTSPress welding is the welding of laminations to each other through direct current applied to pieces under pressure. This technique results in:• The formation of a solid palm with properties of plain bar• Smaller cross section for same capacity• Runs cooler than an equal section• Plain copper, thickness of laminations 0.3 mm• When used in parallel, the 2 shunts must be
spaced with a minimum distance equal to the thickness of the shunt

>FLEXIBAR®
the most flexible busbar
What is FLEXIBAR ® ?AN EXCEPTIONAL CONDUCTORFLEXIBAR® consists of a stack of electrolytic copper laminates protected within a durable PVC insulation.Internal copper laminates are free to slide within the insulation, offering unlimited twisting and bending possibilities for panelboard assembly. Terminals are created by stripping the insulation and punching the laminates ; the cost of lugs and associated labour is eliminated.FLEXIBAR® is the modern and cost effective alternative for electrical connections in switchboards and control panels.
THE MOST FLEXIBLE OF FLEXIBLE BUSBARSThe extreme flexibility which characterises FLEXIBAR®, is obtained by ERICO’s exclusivemanufacturing process, which results in :- laminations being centralised and free to slide within the sleeve- constant insulation thickness over the whole surface, with perfect corners.
The PVC insulation is a high resistance vinyl compound, self-extinguishing, according to UL 1581
Traceability code
DesignationPart number
FLEXIBAR® connections are made by punching
directly through the laminates.
No lugs to purchase, installation is simpler and faster, and faulty
connection problems are eliminated.
FLEXIBAR® is formed with multiple layers of thin, tin-plated or plain, electrolytic copper.
Easily formed, FLEXIBAR® improves assembly flexibility, and aesthetics of panels.

Specific advantagesof FLEXIBAR ®
Preformed Solutions
WEIGHT AND VOLUME SAVINGS OF YOUR PANELSERICO's exclusive manufacturing process results in a minimal bending radius, allowing unlimited twisting and bending possibilities. Moreover, for the same current, FLEXIBAR® has a cross section 40% lower than a cable.
DESIGN TIME SAVINGFLEXIBAR®'s flexibility improves design flexibility.
ASSEMBLY TIME SAVINGThe easy stripping of the insulation and the elimination of lugs results in quick, easy and cost effective connections.
IMPROVES AESTHETICS AND PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE OF PANELSEasily formed, FLEXIBAR® holds its shape.
IMPROVES THE SAFETY AND THE RELIABILITY OF YOUR PANELS• By reducing the number of connections cables/
lugs (less potential hot spots).• By guaranteeing constant insulation thickness,
including the corners.• Because each piece has undergone a test of
dielectric strength at 20000 volts. All these advantages have made FLEXIBAR® the preferred flexible bar for panelboard designers and assemblers throughout the world.
