Potential Actors and Actresses

Nikki J

Nikki J is the artist of the song that we are using. Bearing in mind she is a new artist to the scene, we feel that using Nikki in the video would provide her with the best chance to promote her single and indeed herself as an artist. Nikki would also be able to promote her brand image in the video as her fans could see what she represents and what her music is all about in a more visual light. Nikki also symbolises much of what the R&B genre is all about so would naturally be a perfect fit for the music video.

Hannah Church

Hannah was one of our favourite candidates due to her calming nature and fantastic acting in the audition process. However we do not feel that Hannah fully represents the R&B genre that we are trying to conform to. Even though Hannah was one of the best actors, we are sadly unable to further her in the selection process.

Eden White

Eden is also interested in a future acting career and is studying A Level Theatre Studies as well as taken part in local productions. Eden represents the genre well and impressed incredibly in the audition process. Eden is definitely one of our favourites and will continue onto the next stage of the selection process.

Actress Conclusion

We have decided that the songs artist Nikki J would be the most suitable candidate to play the lead character. Nikki’s knowledge on the song and the connotations displayed makes her a perfect candidate. Not only was she a good actor and fitted the genre well, but she was also a strong presence off screen, providing ideas for the actors to best convey her brand image.

Sam Cooke

Sam is one of our possible actors for our music video. However, we feel that Sam does not quite represent the R&B genre and would therefore not be suitable for the music video. Sam is also quite young being only 16 years old and therefore being placed alongside Nikki J in the music video would also look peculiar.

Ayoub Sebtane

Ayoub was initially chosen as on first glance we believed he would be a good fit for the genre. However during the audition process Ayoub’s acting skills were not as good as some that we saw and this is why Ayoub is no longer up for consideration in the process to fit the role of lead actor.

Jason Foster

Jason was selected as he again represents the genre well. Jason is also a budding actor and has taken part in many local productions. This may mean that we would not have train Jason too much or direct his actions meaning we can focus on other areas of the production during a filming session. Jason is definitely still up for consideration for the role.

Antony Coombe

“Ant” was selected as again we believed he best represented the R&B genre. We also believed he would look good alongside our favourite actress Nikki J if both were chosen for the role. Ant impressed during the audition process and looked good during some of our screen tests. “Ant” is therefore still under consideration for the role.

James Barker

James is also a budding actor, taking part in several productions and winning multiple local awards. However James does not quite symbolise what we are looking for in our music video. He came across quite rude in our audition process and caused disturbances throughout the day. We therefore feel that he would be difficult to work with. James is therefore no longer up for consideration for the role.

Actor Conclusion

After the audition process, we have decided that Jason was the most successful candidate. His acting abilities are clear through past experience and he fits the genre well. During the screen tests we thought Jason worked perfectly alongside our favourite actress Nikki J. All crew members involved in the audition process believed that Jason is ideal for the role.
